Bunny's Stuffie Corner

Cpap machine acquired.

I only slept about 4 hours last night, so I'm going to take a (hopefully brief) nap with it on and then get up and try to work. Hopefully, I'll feel better than I do right now!
Good luck I hope it helps! I always struggled with mine back in the day. But I was also a stomach sleeper and that makes it tough.

Thanks! I am, too, but I think I'm gonna be able to sleep the way I normally do, even with the mask on. :)

I’m not surprised about the recommendation of a cpap, from your account of tiredness sleep apnea seems very likely. I recommend you persevere with the cpap it takes a few weeks to make a difference but I think you’ll be surprised how effective it is.

good luck

Thank you!

I actually noticed a bit of a difference already. I slept only 11 hours last night instead of 14+. I didn't wake up with a headache. There was some sleep inertia, but that's to be expected, I'm sure. Best of all, I feel neutral instead of like I've been hit by a train.

I'm curious to see how long I'm able to stay up tonight now. :)

Always good to not feel like you’ve been hit by a train.

I still feel decent, and I've been up for 8 hours at this point. This is a vast improvement over where I usually am this time of night.

I'm just a little worried how I'm gonna get all the bills caught up before the end of the month because I am so painfully behind right now. I don't want to have to ask my parents for the funds.

I was reading the comments on a FB post about energy drinks, and I saw people saying things like, "I had three Monsters and thought I was gonna die!"

I looked up the caffeine content of a regular Monster. It's 86 mg. That's only slightly more than is in a Dr. Pepper. Even just a regular cup of coffee has more.

I understand that caffeine affects people differently, but I'm over here with my sleep disorder going, "Y'all ain't shit" because I regularly take 5-6 of the 200 mg pills, lol.

Ok, yeah, I know it's not really anything to laugh about. I realize that without the cpap, I was slowly killing my heart and possibly my kidneys. But again, sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

If y'all ever need anyone to help you win a coffee-drinking contest without dying, you know who to call, I guess. ;)

I understand that but, and I’m trying not to sound patronizing and I obviously don’t know the dynamics between you and your parents but I’m sure they’d sooner know your situation and help earlier as opposed to later. As somebody that is a parent it’s much better (despite how pissed off I might be) to help my kid earlier on rather than have them despair.

For what it’s worth

I'm trying to figure out my next move.

I need another job. What I've got is not covering everything. I need to make a decision quickly, so I don't end up in the same boat I ended up in this month.

I'm able to work more hours now since I'm no longer literally falling asleep on the job. But I don't know what to do. Do I try to find a dispatch company or a direct dial one? Do I go for a slower place that doesn't require a set schedule (my preference) or a busier place that does? Or do I say fuck it and try to net a job outside the home?

Ughhhh...I hate making decisions, lol.

I’ve mostly been very unaffected by caffeine.
I never got the jittery side effect and not very much help with staying awake either.

When energy drinks first became a thing, I bought some when I was going sailing with a friend after a long, intense work week with way to little sleep.
I got first to the boat that afternoon and when he got there he found me sound asleep, with two empty cans of energy drink next to me.
I kind of gave up on them then.

These days though, I find that my sleep quality is way worse when I drink coffee late in the day. I still fall asleep just fine though.
Same thing with alcohol.

Can you do more writing, like the blogs or articles perhaps?
Seems to me that this is something that you can do well and do when it suits you.

Lol, this sounds so much like me.

Well, I did put some blogs on sale in hopes that someone would buy some, but they haven't. I guess I need to find somewhere else to advertise!

Hey, guys. Checking in again.

I'm doing well with the cpap. I'm not 100% sure the pressure is adjusted correctly, but I feel way better, so we're taking that as a win for now.

Today is my former best friend's birthday. I'm a little sad because I wish we were still friends. She pulled away last year, and I let her because I was going through some shit, too, and also because I don't want to force my presence on anyone. I wished her happy birthday on her FB wall today and told her congratulations for all the big things happening in her life now (she got engaged, had a move to a new city, and is doing well with her business). She thanked me and said she hoped all was well with me, too.

It's just bittersweet. We used to be inseparable. I wish it didn't bother me so much.

Daddy--well, nothing has changed there.

I have a psychiatric nurse practitioner telehealth appointment on Wednesday. I'm hoping I can get my Adderall. With that and the cpap, I might literally be able to take over the world. ;)

CPAP is literally a life changer for me. There is a distinct difference the day after with or without it's use; mood, energy, mindfulness...

Yes, there is! It's crazy how something like that can make such a vast difference.

Aww, man, Val Kilmer died. :(

His performance as Doc Holliday absolutely made Tombstone. (It's one of my favorite movies. Top five for sure, maybe even top three.) I have always not-so-secretly wanted a dude who was just like his portrayal of Holliday in that movie.

*Hugs stuffies to make me feel better*

I've tried energy drinks 3-4 times... each time, I was parked on the side of the road for a powernap within 15-30 minutes.

Not to play armchair psychiatrist here, but have you ever been screened for ADHD? This is so common thing among ADHD-ers.

I haven't... but many drugs have the opposite effect on me, than they do most people...
If I have ADHD, I've already managed to adapt and "self correct" it, I believe.
