This particular story is encompassing a long period of time. Also, as I have stated, the main character actually fanaticized about this particular situation. I had thought that I had emphasized that as well. The reason that I didn't write through the fifth chapter was that I don't like writing stories that are 50 pages long. Again, this was planned as a long story that I would write as I had time. I am not a professional writer, so I write when I have the time.

In my experience, you don't have to write a long story and submit it at once. What you need to do is complete the story, break it up as you choose, and then submit all the parts at the same time, one after another. That way, Laurel has an opportunity to review them all before posting any of them.

A reported story, from what I can figure out, gets handled the same way as a rejected submission does - it gets bounced back to the author with the generic message related to whatever policy breach has gone on.

If the author does nothing, it stays down. If the author addresses the rejection notice and/or argues their case, it can get reinstated. As I see it, the author will always get a take down reason from the site, and an opportunity to remedy. If they don't bother, that's on them, not the site.

Seems fair to me.

Any writer passionate about their craft may react with irritation whenever their story is rejected (Brits are oddballs ). Regardless of the OP's specific case, IR and NC should be eliminated. Rape and racism are not kinks, but anti-human abominations! It doesn't matter if one enjoys it or not, non-consent is rape. Reluctance in which consent is ultimately given, is a borderline scenario.

Something you might not know, because you're young, and Sting from the Police is older than me, but he did a spell as a milko before he started teaching. Teaching inspired the song, "Don't Stand so Close to Me", but I don't think him being a milkman inspired much in the way of songs.
