The Crafting Thread - Show Us What You've Made!

The toes of my roller skates are taking a beating from roller derby. A few team mates recommended paracord crochet guards, so I made these toe guards out of paracord. Crocheting with paracord was not fun, but they fit, they don't slide around and they should last awhile.

I bet that was not fun at all, lol. But they look really good and should work well. Fantastic job! :D

That is a great idea! How long have you been doing derby?

Very discouraged this evening.

I finally finished the main body of the shrug I've been working on off and on for over a year now. I was afraid I'd mess up sewing the shoulder seams together, but those appear to be ok. The only problem? The fucking thing is too little for me!

I'm so annoyed, and I feel like I've wasted a lot of beautiful yarn for nothing.

I have done this before and empathize with that frustration! Is there any way to size it up without having to frog it?

I sew blankets, often under the supervision of my grandmother so when I start cursing excessively she can nudge me out of the way and look over the machine to make sure it's an operator error (99% of the time it is). It started as a way to make a nice present for my sisters when they were having babies. Then I made them for coworkers and friends of the family for their babies. I've made 5 big blankets (translated as for adults) and I'm about to work on the 6th because I need a new one. Florida isn't fleece friendly if anyone needed to know 😂
I'll upload the finished blanket when I'm done with it. =]

Some items I made for my Lovely Domme.

These are great! (So are the others, but Lit quotes are formatting oddly on my phone today, so I didn't quote that post.) But you've done a fantastic job with all the toys. Your Domme will be proud, I'm sure!

Yay, please do! I'm nosy and want to see, lol.

(I keep having to convince myself not to get into quilting OR into crocheting/knitting blankets, in addition to all the other stuff I do.)

I have really been wanting to paint some rocks and do some other crafty things. However, my chronic pain and fatigue are preventing me from being able to do much. That being said, I finished crocheting a frog stuffie yesterday!

Thank you BiBunny! 28 days is a long time to be away from my Domme, so I try to make things to take home to her.... She applies them beautifully too! This time out, I'm making her some matched pairs, so she can Florentine me into oblivion when I get home!

It turned into quite an expensive hobby, I'm not going to lie. I could have bought myself a blanket (2 to be honest) with the money I spent on the fabric. My blankets are very distinctive though so I'm crossing my fingers that no one I know on Facebook is on here because I usually post a pic of my finished projects on there. That might make things a tiny bit awkward!

If you're out there lurking, Goddess, my ETA to the dock is 0700 and you can rest assured, that the Reacher will be fully charged on arrival!
