No wonder

It's a show with fountains and colourful lights doing stuff with music. Fountains set in a row in the river, not in a pond. It's kind of more versatile than fireworks.

And it celebrates the start of Tampere Light Festival last Friday (the waters are dancing 10 nights in a row). The festival continues until January, all kinds of pretty lights in the darkness.

I got a Facebook message from an old high school friend. His sister, who hung out with us often, died suddenly at the age of 60. I want to give his family some space but he's flown in from Michigan and I let him know I'm up for a drink if he is.

I am so sorry to hear of this loss. Shockingly young (don't you think? - young gets older for me every year!)

Evidently she developed mental problems later in life that severely affected her quality of living. I'm not going to presume how she died, but it happened even with some kind of supervision.

I was eating a steak I made, and not really enjoying it. I decide to cut some up and give it to the dog, and put the rest in the refrigerator for later.

And then it happened. I have not had anything like this happen in years. Somehow, I managed to scrape the steak… through the A-1 sauce in a quite rapid motion…. towards… me.

That was soooo gross! Steak sauce splatter all over my comfy dress, splatters on my legs, and a big blob in my hair.

I just got out of the shower, with a wonderful wet mass of long hair.

I wasn’t going to drink tonight. I just changed my mind.
