🎵 Monthly Song Challenge 🎵

Speaking of life getting crazy, today is not going to be a history lesson. Tonight is the last night I spend in the family home. At 8am, movers will be here to take the last of my furniture across to the new house. It's a big fucking day and I just don't have anything left in me to plan a prompt. So today, I ask a favor:

Day 7: Post a song that mends a broken heart, even just a little
Many hugs Aussie.

Hang in there. It’s gonna be alright. (By Cast)

Day 7: Post a song that mends a broken heart, even just a little

Day 2: Post a song that contains any bathroom word in the title or lyrics (toilet, loo, bathroom, restroom, flush, pee, piss, poop, shit, ass, butt, etc).
Day 3: Post a song by an artist who died before age 30.

Day 4. Post a Disney song
Day 5: post a song that has any kind of ticking, counting, or time reference in it.
Day 6: Post a song about responsibility or growing up.
Day 6: A song about responsibility or growing up

"Jack & Diane" -- John Mellencamp
This was the song that popped into my head immediately. Great choice!

For me, mending a broken heart requires letting it break completely and this song does it every time.

A big thank you to @aussiegeekygal for a great week. The first 2 guest hosts have been flawless and set the bar high! Knowing AGG did this under such stress makes it all the more impressive.
To any future guest hosts, if the week assigned doesn't work for you, please PM me and we will figure it out.

My return to the throne coincides with a very big day in the US, Superbowl Sunday. I thought the Cheeto in Charge might get 1 thing right this time round and move President's Day to the Monday after the Superbowl but they didn't agree to name either one after him, so.....

So....
Day 8 - pick a side. Seattle fans, pick a song from a band from Washington State (Seattle) or Oregon (Portland). New England fans, pick a song from a band that hails from that area.
People that want to hate on American football, pick a Bad Bunny song

Please tell us where your band is from.

I have this power thanks to our gracious queen and I dare not cross her here. Besides, Drake Maye was a tremendous asset to my fantasy team. I'm gonna go old school with a song that tells you where that band is from.

What do I do if I think professional sports are a gateway to violence and division? That choosing a side is harmful rather than loving the dedication to a passion.

Well.. I pick this song!

Everyday people- Sly and the Family Stone

But I'm sharing the Joan Jett version because I got to see her live and though I don't recall a lot of it since I maybe had a cooler or two.. I'm fairly certain she sang this song at that concert
