Have to totally agree with what you have just said .chemistry is just another type of word for lust imo.its awesome to feel it for someone when sparks fly etc but real life has to kick it at some point of a relationship where other emotions have to come into play just as important as chemistry.like you say mutual trust and security further down the line .chemistry is a great start and great if it is always there as in our relationship but there are so many other factors to consider so one shouldn't sell themselves short .
