What was 2014 like for you? What events stand out that you can remember? What was 2014's defining moments in your mind?

the first 8 months of the year were some of my worst, for various reasons. september was ok. the last 3 months were pretty good.

Whew, a roller coaster ride for sure. Got separated, moved, new job, struggled, got divorced, struggled some more, met someone really great, applied for a dream job ( still waiting to hear), still struggling a little...but I'm sure good things are in store for me.

Major high - our family's trip to Hawaii in February.

Earth shattering low - my mom dying of lung cancer on Labor Day.

When Hurricane Irene hit in 2011, it flooded our basement. I looked like a little otter swimming around I can imagine the shit storm you dealt with with that pipe bursting We left on vacation once and the sink was leaking the whole time. We come back, the floor is gone.

Yeah. Caused 15k worth of damage. We were out of our house for 4 weeks. Was a nightmare.

2014 sucked for the most part.

Low points- Miscarriage, Dad's motorcycle accident, Dad's second surgery to fix a lung problem from the accident, Mom's kidney stones, Mom being diagnosed with skin cancer, great aunt and uncle died.

High points- Falling in love with my husband again, Grandmother's face when she saw her Christmas decorations, trip to Florida with in-laws.

I started out 2014 with my water heater exploding and flooding half the house. Still waiting to get the carpet replaced for various reasons.
Also started out the year on an IV (PICC line) for a couple of weeks and physical therapy for 2 more months after that.
Finishing up the year by finding out my long-time supposed best friend is no longer any kind of friend at all.
On the other hand, gasoline is under $2 a gallon!

Started 2014 with a new job and ending with a new job.

A great trip from my bucket list.

A cancelled trip which broke my heart.

A new grandbaby.

28 lbs down! Woot, woot!

Lost my dad unexpectedly.

Grew to know a few litsters better.

All in all... while there was some unhappiness, put in perspective it was not a bad year.

Good - I joined weight watchers and it works!!! I keep right on losing
Oh yea, met some neat people on LIT

Same - my marriage continues

Bad - a woman I truly thought would be my mother-in-law (and I really liked her!!) is slowly dying right before my friends eyes and there is nothing anyone can do

Robin Williams death hit me in the gut a bit. He was always one of my faves.
