21st Weak of the Trumpanzy

Some of that has been leaked (and was leaked within hours). Most of it takes after Sessions.

One of the stupidest fights Trump has picked from the get go is the one with the Intelligence Community.

Yes, the Kennedy brothers handled J Edgar Hoover with kid gloves. They understood how dangerous an enemy he would be. Mind you he was a nut job.

Jeff Sessions makes last-minute request to testify in public so ‘people hear the truth directly

Attorney General Jeff Sessions reportedly wants his Tuesday testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee to be open to the public.

Following allegations that Sessions failed to disclose a third meeting with Russian officials, the attorney general canceled his Appropriations Committee testimony and agreed to testify in a closed session to the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Democratic lawmakers scolded Sessions for refusing to answer questions in a session open to the American people. And on Monday, the former Alabama senator relented.

In a statement, the Department of Justice said that Sessions is calling for his Tuesday testimony to be available to the public.

“He believes it is important for the American people to hear the truth directly from him,” a spokesperson said.

I wonder what he will say? L8TR.

Trump has lost control of his presidency’: GOP leaders privately losing hope in change

Some of President Donald Trump’s own advisers have lost confidence in his ability to outlast the Russia scandal.

The president faces mounting legal issues as multiple investigations examine his campaign’s possible ties to Russia, and those are turning into political challenges that greatly worry top Republicans, reported Axios.

One of those GOP leaders, described by the website as “one of the oldest (and most trusted) hands in America,” told a gathering of business leaders Friday in New York City that Trump had badly wounded his own administration.

“Simply put, Trump has lost control of his presidency,” the veteran Republican said. “He still has all the power of the office, but for someone who spent a portion of his life in real estate litigation, he shows once again he has not learned the first rule of legal combat: It is often better to say nothing and do nothing.”

Well Trump got it half right, He's done nothing, but said quite enough.:D

Trump impeachment process backed by a second Democrat

U.S. Representative Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) on Monday made public his proposed article of impeachment against President Donald Trump, less than a week after one of his Democratic colleagues announced he is drafting a similar document. Sherman circulated the article to all House members—Democrat and Republican—in search of their input and support.

In the text, Sherman lays out his belief that the president should be impeached, tried and removed from office for allegedly engaging in obstruction of justice by firing former FBI Director James Comey in May during the agency’s investigation into Russia’s possible meddling in the 2016 general election. He also notes how Trump has been accused of asking Comey to drop a probe into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, whom the administration hired despite allegedly knowing he was under investigation.

“Donald John Trump has acted in a manner contrary to his trust as president and subversive of constitutional government, to the great prejudice of the cause of law and justice and to the manifest injury of the people of the United States,” Sherman says in his proposed article of impeachment, which has not yet been officially filed.

The Wave begins! Hi Donald!:)

I Had Never Thought I’d Actually SEE A Blow Job In The White House

Donald Trump, who is still unfortunately technically the president, has just had a Cabinet meeting, on live TV. Also technically. The Cabinet was gathered, at least. I am not sure that was a meeting. That seemed more like the filming of a scene from Caligula, or possibly Who’s Nailin’ Paylin. By the time Betsy DeVos was finished I was taking notes on the next-level fellatory technique on display.

They went around the table and everyone said how honored they were to be working with Trump. In front of the press. After which Trump complained about how the Democrats were being very mean in that they won’t confirm the people he hasn’t nominated, and also on account of him being the world’s most malignant narcissistic lickspittle. The single saving grace for that Cabinet was that if you have to suck a dick in public, at least Trump’s is a tiny one.

You think I’m joking but Reince Priebus actually channeled a Mormon talking to his stake president when he addressed Trump, thanking him for the blessing of working for him on behalf of all the senior staff.

[UPDATE: here is more video. It doesn’t get better. And if you want to watch the whole thing, which we recommend if you can stomach it, it is on cspan here.]

Observe the smug look on Il Douches face as his cabinet strokes his ego.:)

‘There will be a firestorm’: Democratic senator warns Trump not to fire Mueller

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) warned of an absolute “firestorm” if President Donald Trump followed through on reports that he’s considering firing special counselor Robert Mueller.

He's afraid Pence won't pardon him like Ford did Nixon. Mike doesn't cotton to 'Hookers'!
No loyalty pledge? No reciprocal dirt on Pence to make him do Trump's bidding? No "hope your other cat doesn't die" comment?

Rick Wilson pens scathing tweetstorm against ‘Trump fellators, fanboys, grunting MAGA mouthbreathers

Conservative Daily Beast columnist Rick Wilson went on a scathing rant about the news that President Donald Trump has pondered firing special counsel Robert Mueller.

Like many who have come before him, Wilson tried to explain to Trump and his followers why that would be an unbelievable mistake.

“It’s time for the final divorce between the clickservatives and any pretense they believe in the rule of law,” Wilson wrote of the armchair activists. “Let’s just get the f*ck on and this shabby pretense that we still live in a nation of laws. So, clickservatives, Trump fellators, fanboys, grunting MAGA mouthbreathers, sing out now [sic]. I really want to know. Is there anything he can do that strikes your conscience? Is there any sin, any excess, any affront? No? Good. That makes it easy for all of us.”

Wilson continued, saying he thinks “clickservatives” should go all the way and act out Trump’s actual fantasies, regardless of consequences.

“Embrace his utter f*cking degeneracy and third-world generalissimo act. It’s the new you! Ride with it!” he exclaimed.

--;)-:)-:D

Having either one of these good for shit political parties in control of the federal government sucks for the people.

Trump may not have the legal power to fire special counsel Mueller

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is at least thinking about firing special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, according to a close confidant of the president's who visited the White House on Monday.

Leading Republicans, including House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, have made it clear they see no reason to remove Mueller and would prefer he be allowed to finish the probe.

But suppose Trump ignores their advice. Does he actually have the legal power to fire the special counsel, who is leading the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and examining possible coordination by Trump's associates?

That's an unsettled legal issue.

As Jack Goldsmith, a Harvard Law professor and former top Bush administration Justice Department official, wrote in a blog post, an important constitutional issue exists on whether the president's authority over executive branch officials can be limited that way.

Trump might assert he has authority to fire Mueller on his own, courts might or might not agree.

Finally, there's the question of whether Congress would consider a move to fire Mueller an impeachable offense. In Nixon's case, "abuse of power," rather than specific criminal acts, formed the basis for several articles of impeachment. What constitutes such an abuse is a political issue more than a legal one, so a lot might depend on public reaction.

Just do it, Donald. Show them all that your not a wimp like Nixon.:D

Senate Judiciary Committee opens investigation into Trump for firing former FBI Director James Comey

The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that the Senate Judiciary Committee will investigate President Donald Trump’s firing of former FBI Director James Comey.

According to the report, senators want to know if Trump acted improperly when he allegedly fired Comey to influence an investigation into Russia’s hacking of the 2016 U.S. election.

“The Judiciary Committee has an obligation to fully investigate any alleged improper partisan interference in law enforcement investigations,” Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said in a statement. “It is my view that fully investigating the facts, circumstances, and rationale for Mr. Comey’s removal will provide us the opportunity to do that on a cooperative, bipartisan basis.”

“The American people deserve a full accounting of attempts to meddle in both our democratic processes and the impartial administration of justice,” the chairman added.

Grassley’s statement came after Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) called for an investigation into the firing of Comey.
:)

Wakey, wakey, little Trump shill. I'm seeing a whole bunch of head scratching and "I just don't believe this" in your future. :D

We'll see. I still say, he lasts 4 years....he wont run again, who would want to do that?

The sooner the orange shitgibbon gets out of the office, the better for America, the world, the fucking biosphere.

What Watergate teaches us about Trump’s America

"Small incidents can blow up into much bigger scandals and lead to the revelation of bigger problems that exist with a president. The break-in was a small incident, relative to everything," said Julian Zelizer, a Princeton history professor who has written frequently about Nixon. "The response to the initial story became the big story. At the end, it was the obstruction that brought him down. We're dealing with a similar phenomenon right now, at least on the surface."
