Again, a question I asked in other threads and haven't seen answered: Dums are the minority party. Any presidential deal cut with them needs a notable number of Gup votes to pass. So, who are the traitors who peeled-away from the McConnell-Ryan axis?
You got an answer on this--including a number, 23. I don't know about numbers but I know there are enough moderate and disaffected Republicans in Congress ready to try to get work down to align with a new coalition. It's certainly worth a try. Trump hardly pretends to be a Republican and he just likes to win, no matter what the win is. He could be offered a bigger base than his currently dissolving one to do things non-Republican. He has no loyalty to anyone but himself.
