That's the traditional so-called X bracing pattern. The two lower face braces are positioned to rougly divide that area into three approximately equal areas. There's no prescribed angle. The fine tuning of the tone and resonance comes from carving the braces into parabolic arches... that's the black artInteresting. Everything is symmetrical except for the two braces )or whatever they are called) at the bottom.
Any idea why it’s asymmetric that way? Why they’re at that angle? And not quite parallel?
Just curious.
Nice of you to let the moths out from time to time...
Well I am truly honoured to receive the trophy (saves me charging the toys up for another week). It will take pride and place on my bedside table. And that, dearpervertstravellers, is that.
As Blink 182 said "All the small things, something something something." I'm sure it was relevant and appropriate...
Big shout outs to sooooo many of you this week:
@Biggalute nearly made it a double win with his eye pic. Close but no cigar sir.
@lindi_85's toe beans were just too cute, as was @lilmissdarling's apprentice demon in the washing basket
@MindYaBitness' junior cruise ship was a fantastic pic, with or without the giant cock
I also loved @lingus60's ladybird hiding on the pear
And any of @ScarletDaisy's 3 dragonfly pics could have won (and I think uncropped was the best of the 2)
But this week's winner, though it annoys me intensely, is @AmberLGreen for this

I'll even overlook the abhorrent lack of cropping on this occasion...

Your trophy... Don't tell me what you do to / with it. Just clean it and return it in a fit state to present next week![]()

I emojied sad but I think it's a beautifully atmospheric photoView attachment 2558586
Ok so, hear me out. ‘Look inside’ refers to my reflective process when I walk or spend time doing a repetitive task (thanks ADHD). In the past I would ring my person or listen to a podcast and contemplate life, love, lit etc etc. this post makes me realise how much I’ve missed my walks and phone calls. This photo was taken one such night. I love the eeriness of it and prefer to walk when it’s cold, dark and damp. Much like my soul.
