45 years after its release, YMCA hits #1 on the Billboard charts

Willis is making the rounds of any and every talk show that will have him on, I guess he's seeking his 16th minute of fame.

He honestly seems to bristle each time the talking head on the other side of the table smirks and does the *wink *nudge thing "Oh come on, errybody knows it's a 'gay song' ". He gets so pissy I'm starting to believe that he truly believes he wrote a pure "campy song" as a put-on.

Side note: I wonder if the Trump campaign ponied up the money for appropriating the Village People song during their hate rallies this year? Or are they relying on the "legal" advice of barrister HisRolePlay, Esquire ("It's not illegal if a president or former president done it...both have qualified immunity for the rest of their lives, the Supreme Court said so!")
Nobody cares. The president elect and swarms of people across America are having fun with it.

I like how the left tried their usual 'appropriation' bullshit, screaming YMCA somehow belonged to gay people, then the lead singer came out and said it had nothing to do with the gay community, but was about....the YMCA being what it was-more so then than now-and that was a place where young men could go to stay out of trouble and get help.

Another great example of woke bigotry where they tell a 'marginalized' group what they should be angry over.

The amount of young men and women all over Tik Tok doing the YMCA because of Trump is an indication of how he's won over a lot of Gen Z.

Its even better seeing players in the ultra woke BLM obsessed NFL doing it. Went from kneeling to the flag to celebrating Trump

Cool story. Let the good times roll. President Trump should absolutely invite the Village People to perform at the inauguration and set up a dance pavilion to celebrate the joy.đź•ş

Back in 2019 I set up at RI Comic Con and diagonal from me were two members of the Village People, the Indian and the Construction worker. Selling pictures and music etc. But once every hour the music would kick in and they'd get up and do the YMCA

Seeing all the little kids doing it with them-and they were great with the kids, coming over to them and helping them do it-was a lot of fun

Also seeing a huge number of adults in a variety of super hero costumes doing it was entertaining in its own right.

But at random times they would slip off through a door next to my booth you weren't supposed to go through, and they'd get locked out and my wife would keep letting them back in and they'd reek of pot and be all "Hey, thank you little lady!" over and over again.

This forum does a good job to let everyone know what we should support financially based on their support or opposition to the man.

Thank goodness.

Seeing a rally for someone you don't like is not an actual hate rally, I don't think they have a problem. As for whatever legal aspects may or may not be, they get a royalty every time its played and thanks to Trump its being played to death of late so they are benefitting.

Maybe you should pop a few more pills, Rob. Maybe even the whole bottle.

The song apparently makes over a million a year and the singer’s net worth is said to be around 30 million.

Rob and Delux etc hating on it is therefore expected.

Maybe they should write a Trans Anthem?
