A Fantasy Kingdom

[soliloquy]

Titania

Titania was wandering back to her chamber when she realized she was in front of the Queen's chamber door. The royal physician was just leaving. She asked the guard, "Is Sir Garret with the queen?"

He nodded, stone faced, this man that she had fucked more than twenty times. She thought about trying to seduce information out of him, but thought of a better plan. She began walking down the corridor, and suddenly doubled over, moaning as if in pain.

"You all right Tati," the guard asked.

"No, I'm not all right, I'm in pain! Get the doctor."

He left her rapidly, and Titania took the chance to slip into the royal chamber. Sure enough, she saw Garret sitting next to the queen on her bed. Titania slid between the wall and the giant tapestry to listen to what was going on.

I must be crazy, she thought. I could be killed for this. But she just had to know if something was going on between Garret and the queen.

Laying in bed... Garrett watching over me. 'i shall be fine, i promise' i spoke

As the doctor walked back into the room, he spoke in a low voice, 'have her drink this three times a day, before she eats, it shall settl eher stomach. More than likely she will be starting to show in 4 months, so a change of different clothes might be in order now. '


Smiling I spoke lightly, 'if i change my dress atire, there will be questions, can you perscribe, a ... a... a medicine or a herb that won't affect me other than to look as if i need it to keep from ill...'


Garrett looked at the doctor, as the doctor thought and then spoke, ' Yes, yes M'lady I think i have something that would work like that, an herb, i can put it in a pill form. it could aslo be good for the birth.'

Slowly drinking a small cup of a dark green liquid, thick and tasted kind of like mint.

Sir Garrett

I sat by her on the edge of the bed. I know my concern showed on my face. I watched as she drank the liquid.

"You had me scared for a little while there, Your Majesty" I say to the Queen. I hold her hand in mine to comfort her as much as to comfort me.

"Are you ready for breakfast now?" I ask her softly.

Smiling to Garrett, 'yes please I would like some fruit, and cheese, I am not sure if i can keep it down, but i will try.' i spoke.

Garrett's hand squeezing mine, I laid back as he got up and walked towards the door, 'Please hurry back, Sir Knight'

Sir Garrett

I get up and go to the door, I tell the guard to get some fruit and cheese for the Queen. He then tells me that Titania is missing, she had been in the hall a few minutes earlier but when he went to get the physician and got back she was gone. As he told me this my eye caught a movement behind the tapestry next to the door.

I told the guard to fetch the Queen's breakfast, and I would worry about what happened to Titania. I then closed the door. I walked to the other edge of the tapestry, reached in and grabbed someonr by the arm and pulled them into the open.

It was Titania as I had thought.

"What are you doing in the Queen's chambers spying on her?" I asked Titania as she looked at me.

 

[soliloquy]

Titania

Titania was amazed. The queen was pregnant! But by whom? She decided she wasn't going to get any information this way, and she was feeling sillier each moment, spying on the queen and Garrett. She went to sneak out when a hand grabbed her. SHe almost shrieked.


"What are you doing in the Queen's chambers spying on her?"

She stammered for a while, unsure of what to say to him. She checked over his shoulder to see if the queen had paid any notice. She seemed to be sleeping.

In a whisper, she chastised him. "What am I supposed to do, m'lord? You have not been to see me in more than a fortnight, and you do not even send word as to why. Have I done something that has upset you , M'lord?"

She knew she had no right to treat him as if he were a committed lover, but she knew no other way out of her current predicament.

"My duties have kept me busy, with the King's death, the Queen trying to save the throne and her life, all the nobles of the kingdom scheming to kill the Queen and take the throne. When would I have had time to see you, let alone get a message to you." I replied, a bit angry that she had dedcided to spy on me as well.

Hearing a comotion, I sat up in bed. 'Garrett is there something wrong? I heard someone talking, upset, I swear.' I said, my voice shaky.

Pulling the blankets i moved my legs to get up, 'Garrett, give me a hand up please. I feel so weak, that drink did help though.' Standing wobblly on my feet.

Moving towards Garrett, i saw the tapestry move beside him. 'What is going on Knight? Who is there in the tapestry?!' i questioned.

Samoht Niaps

IC: <Samoht found himself in what appeared to be the castle's large kitchen. Luckily for him, he found that there were no people inside. It was a bit wierd that there were no chefs busying around, making stuff.>

<While he was walking around the kitchen, a thought came to his mind. He suddenly thought of a way to kill his target.>

<Quickly, Samoht ran to the closest window to the main street. Grabing a stale piece of bread as a weight, he wrote down something on a piece of paper and wrapped it around the bread. Opening the window, he looked for the target and chucked it as hard as possible. He landed undetected near the edge of the street. A man, another hired hand of Samoht, picked up the paper, read it, gave a wave towards the castle, and walked off.>

<The plan was set, now Samoht needed the right oppertunity...>

"Your Majesty, it is your hand maiden Titania. She was in here listening to the conversation" I say to the Queen.

 

[soliloquy]

Titania

Titania looks at Garrett with disbelief. How could he sacrifice her so easily? The queen looks at her expectantly.

Titania bows before the queen. "Your Majesty, my deepest apologies. I assure you I meant you no harm or foul."

Her heart beat in her ears and eyes as she awaited the queen's response. She quickly shot Garrett a look of contempt and bitterness. Whatever was to come, nothing but ill will would Garrett receive from Titania.

"Your Majesty, if you believe we can trust her, I believe she may very well be useful in our cause" I say to the Queen as I help her up from the bed.

"She could gather information for us that I cannot get because of my station."

 

[soliloquy]

Titania

The daggers which had earlier shot from Titania dulled. She was unsure of his motives, but she was grateful for the request for a reprieve. The queen seemed to be considering this request carefully.

"Your Majesty," Titania offered in an effort to help her reach a conclusion more easily, "I am your servant, and I would do as you would bid me do. Your loyal, and faithful servant."

The silence which ensued would seem like a lifetime for Titania.

'Bring her hear, i wanna hear what she has to say for herself, then i shall decide...' i let my voice carry.

Sir Garrett

I escort Titania to the Queen. I stand to one side but between them. I wait to hear what is said. I need to protect the Queen, but I owe Titania for all of the companionship and comfort she has brought me over the past few years.

 

[soliloquy]

Titania

Garrett ushered Titania somewhat roughly to the queen. She immediately kneeled before her, her head bowed. She must choose her words wisely.

"Your Majesty, there is no excuse for what I have done. I have erred in my judgement. But I assure you that it was not you that I was spying on." She knew that nothing but the truth would save her now.

"Your Majesty, I have been a fool. I have let jealousy come between me and my better judgement. I have not seen Sir Garrett for more than a fortnight, and I was jealous that he might have another lover. I was hoping that if I listened to your conversation, I might learn of where he has been. I see, now that it was foolish, as his time has been spent with you. For what purpose, I do not know, but I am not in a position to request an answer to that question. Please, Your Majesty, believe that I am forthright and honest in what I have just told you."

She bowed and awaited the dreaded words which might escape the queens lips.

'We shall see... I would like you to give me a reason to let you stay, how can i trust you?' i asked



'why would i keep someone around that would rather sleep with my knights.. than serve me...?'

 

[soliloquy]

Titania

"Your Majesty" Titania nearly stuttered, "that was never my intent. As I have said, I have erred in judgement. I will do anything you ask of me to prove my loyalty and service to you. Your will is my bidding."

Titania's nails were digging into the flesh of her palms as she feared the queen's wrath more than she had ever feared that of the king.

I watch these two women, one I care about and the other I'm in love with. I just watch and listen, not wanting to get involved in something that was out of my league.

Queen Jeselynn


'Since you are my knight protector, I wish you, Garrett, to think of a way for her to prove herself. It will be a test, it has to be. If she passes I will declare her a Lady of the Court.' i spoke.

'So that if you prove yourself, you will serve not only me, but possibly a husband, a Lord or Baron of my court. I will have watch over you, if my secret becomes known, or even that you knew before hand, you shall be taken care of' I went on

'Am I understood?!' I questioned..

I paced and when the door was knoccked upon, I sat in one of the dinning chairs, 'Garrett please see that is my breakfast, I am hungry and yet I feel i might stll get sick.. Ask the doctor to have more of that liquid made....' i asked..

Sir Garrett

"Yes Your Majesty" I say as I walk to the door. It is her breakfast. I take it from the guard and have him fetch the physician and have him bring some more of the liquid for the Queen.

I place the tray on the table in front of her. It is a simple breakfast as she requested, of fruit and cheese.

"As far as Titania is concerned, I will have to think for a moment Your Majesty" I say to her. I am to decide her fate, yet anything that I could suggest to the Queen would most certainly place this woman in grave danger.

'good, you have till tonight, I will ned to know by then, for tomorrow I shall announce the outcome if good... We have also to attend the Hall Meeting , to see if anyone have right to claim hier to my throne!' i sopke

Sir Garrett

"As you wish Your Majesty" I say to her as I bow.

I could have her spy on the nobles or the gurdsmen, I could have her remain with the Queen at all times, either way could mean her death.

 

[soliloquy]

Titania

"Yes, Your Majesty. I understand." How quickly her life was being changed due to one minute of self-interest.

She looked to Garrett. She wanted to say, please don't let me die at the hands of my challenge. She wanted to say hold me. But she said neither and the queen excused her to her chambers. She wished that he would follow, but she knew he would not.

She slipped into her bed like a child, and began to weep for all that she had lost.

In a moment of sheer brilliance I came up with a way for Titania to prove herself to the Queen, keep her safe and keep her occupied with another all at the same time. I needed to speak with the elf.

I went to the door and sent one of the guards to find the elf and bring him before me.
