A Life Term In Prison?

...I was the textbook example of a cookie baking, Cub Scout, PTA mom & I loved the years I had with Justin. The thought that Tiffany, like Justin, will never graduate High School, will never get married, I will never be a grandmother is something that I will never totally recover from. No family should ever bury a child, it is totally unnatural...

It breaks my heart! You've poured all this love into your only son and he is suddenly wrenched from your life. There is nothing that prepares a person for such a shock and grieving takes a long time. I'm glad you've received support. Yet, I imagine your memories of Justin will be with your for as long as you live, and the pain of your loss will remain, even though diminished with the passing of time. It requires courage to continue facing life under such circumstances and it sounds as though that's exactly what you're doing. You will surely be in my prayers.

There's a story in the Buddhist tradition about a mother who comes to the Buddha immediately after the sudden death of her only son. She cries, overwhelmed as she pleads with the teacher to tell her how such a thing could have happened. The Buddha sends her away, asking her to return with a mustard seed from the family that has not known death. Or course, she returns a short while later having discovered for herselt that death touches us all. We know that, and yet, when it comes to us suddenly and in an unexpected way, we are in shock and quite naturally ask ourselves how such a thing could have happened as it did. This human journey asks so much of us. There are no easy answers, no certain way to avoid life's challenges. You know that better than most of us because of this horrible experience.

As the Buddhists would say in blessing -

May all beings be peaceful, may all beings be happy.

This is my wish for you and your family.

I'll take the unpopular opinion that the parents are at fault for unleashing pieces of shit on
the world and society. You can point fingers at television, movies, music, computers,
anything you want. The reason children act the way they do is because they are allowed
to. Send mother to jail with him because she created him and allowed him to be a totally
worthless piece of human shit.

Not unpopular with me. Parents are directly responsible for the actions of their children. Just proves retardation can be hereditary. My youngest watches wrestling and he knows what is dangerous and what isn't.

I keep telling him that women are dangerous but I have a feeling that it's falling on deaf ears. Like it does us all. ;)
