A message about Joesephus

Joe and I used to be close but lost touch. He would send me his work to look at and more than once we got into debates about different issues. I always looked forward to what he had to say. My heart goes out to critter and the family will be in my prayers. :rose:

I'm so sorry to hear it. As I recall, I read the guy and liked him, and now such loss and sorrow.

How it comes at you, you know?

We talked back and forth over stories that I'd written and that he'd written. I never really knew him well, but I knew that I liked the man. He had a certain...something...that made it easy to like him and want to like him.

I will miss him and my thoughts and meditations are on his wife and family.

He was really passionate about writing. We had some unbelievable knock-down, drag-out fights about story ideas. The best part was that we could disagree, argue, pull our hair and scream, then talk about his athletics or our families. He had a great capacity for defending his positions without getting personal. His curiousity about Critter's family's beliefs was touching. I don't know if he ever really came to grips with it, but he approached it like everything else . . . with many questions, but a completely open mind. He was truly one of a kind.
