Jadest opens hers eyes and sees Marcus standing over her...

"I am sorry I passed out, going in to minds is very stressful" states Jadest

"Did you learn anything" asks Marcus

" Yes i see two people, one is a werewolf I believe but he is just looking for food, I dont think he is looking to hurt anyone."
" The second is a giant from this land his mighty weapons are still stained with the blood of the hunters, but I feel he did it out of protection but his mind is closed to me. He is powerful Marcus"

Jadest sits on a rock as she rubs her head.

"They are aware of us now also" Jadest says as she looks up at the sound of
Kyuusai running up to them....

In Dravicks mind flashed a picture of the high elf from earlier. He felt dazed after it left him. Dammit, she must be more than just a stowaway.

"They know where we are, do you have any traps?" He downed the meat, it was filling, for he hadn't eaten in nearly a week. After finishing, he pulled his sword from the scabbard and peered into the forest.

"Why did you attack them? We might be able to settle this without fighting. And can you lie?" Dravick knew the unwillingness of some to lie, and he didn't blame them, for he was the same way before becoming a thief.

Marcus

"Hmmm, this could prove troublesome." I mutter to myself, as Kyuusai and Kramzz arrive.

"Jadest, can you offer any idea on how best to approach them without bloodshed?" I ask her, watching her beautiful face intently

Malika

"Where could they be going" Malika asks himself as he sees Kyuusai and Kramzz run off. Climbing up a guard tower Malika takes out his spy glass to try and find out were they could be going of in such a hurry.

Jadest looks into Marcus's eyes getting lost for a moment.....

"Ummm I am sorry what did you ask?" Studders Jadest

"How do you think we should approach them?" Marcus repeats smiling to himself.

" I think we need to go slow and approach as friends. If we go in blazing and kill or hurt the giant we will be starting a war with his people." states Jadest avoiding Marcus's eyes.

"Hmmm, just what I was thinking" I mutter, wondering why she was looking away from me.

Standing up, I motioned the others to come closer, "Alright, so we are going to contact the two. We might be able to solve things peacefully and avoid further bloodshed." I tell the others.

"Let's move out" I tell them,motioning the others to follow me.

Grogla The Giant

Grogla turning from the woods just for a second, watches as Dravick gobbles the meat down. He chuckles to himself and almost returns to stareing off into the woods when a sharp image bores into his minds eye. A bright whte background of brillent light highlights the face of a beautifull high elf. The giant pushes back and watches as the elf falls to the ground. The connection broken the image parts as quickly as it had come. Turning to Dravick he sees he had felt something too.

Dravick:"They know where we are, do you have any traps?"

Grogla:"You saw it as well....seems you have something you left out. As far as I know only magical beings had the ability to know when their mind was being read. As for the traps, I need none as me and this ballistica are quite enough...and you have these unkown powers.

Dravick:"Why did you attack them? We might be able to settle this without fighting. And can you lie?"

Grogla:"Why did I attack them? I attacked them because no matter how I would have presented myself to two unknown and alert hunters stray from their camp they would have attacked. As you know its kill or be killed...... I never like to harm another being, but what has to be done for the sake of my race will be done. I always try to settle without fighting, but in our world giants are feared and hated. There is no way for me to settle matters without force to back it up. Your kind seem to listen better when they are severly out numbered or out powered. As for lieing it wont be needed, the elf learned what she needed and knows that I killed those men. I did not block her in time, but she will be disabled for awhile from the effert."

he nodded in agreement, "my people are also hated and feared, that is I didn't attack you blindly, I understand that. It is better to make allies before enemies." He chuckled, to bad a woman like that wouldn't be interested in a guy like me, but captains and generals get all the girls.

Jadest motions for Marcus to come close to her....

" I can try to send a vision to them that we mean no harm, I dont think i can get it to the giant but I think I can the werewolf." says Jadest while thinking it would give her another glance at the goodlooking stranger.

"Go ahead, but just to be on the safe side, Kyu, go for it." I tell them

Jadest closes her eyes and reachs for the handsome werewolfs mind, sending a image of all of them sitting down and talking with no weapons. She takes a few extra mins to search for any clues about his friend the giant.....

Jadest slowly opens her eyes to find Marcus staring at her..

" Ok it is done. I think we can try to confront them now, slowly though and with no weapons showing ..

Kyuusai

Holding my arms together, I start concentrating on changing my form.

Slowly, I felt time stand still, as I felt my body shiver.

My body grew bigger as i began to change. My arms grew bigger as my muscles enlarged itself. I felt my body hair grow longer.

*Kyuusai changed to a werewolf*

Marcus

"That's good work, Jadest." I tell her. Motioning my friends closer, "Kramzz, Kyu, be careful. There might be problems." I inform them.

Walking towards the center of the clearing, I sit down and begin to wait for the newcomers.

Goblin King, Zark

Zark rubbed his head gently with his hand.

Today has been an exciting day, I thought to myself. First was the sighting of those intruders upon his realm, and then there was the sighting of the rogue Frost Giant in the area, killing anything in his path, and then there was the news of a Dragon taking up roost in his summer mountain home. Also my son has just completed his first raid against a nearby settlement of elves, bringing with him a nice pretty elven slave woman. My daughter was just wooed by the head of one of the most powerful goblin families in the area. Plus two of his raiding parties were massacred by the nearby Griffins, have to teach them a lesson.

Looking around at my empty throne room, I knew these intruders were the more serious problem. After a few moments of thinking, I banged my scepter on the 'Golden Gong'.

Immediately the door opened and my most trusted fighter arrived, Garth

Dravick

The images flashed through his mind. They startled him at first, but then he understood.
"They mean no harm, they just want to speak with us," he told the giant. Finnally he would get to meet this elf, see if she is as beautiful up close.

 

[Brain_Mechanic]

"I Know...I saw it as well. We shall wait for them to come to us. I will have none of their trickery...."

With that Grogla finally slings the still loaded ballistica on his back. Re-strapping it he crosses his arms and waits paitently.

Marcus

After a few tense moments...

"Jadest? You did tell them to meet us here at the clearing, right?" I ask her, with an amused look

Grogla

Emergin from King Zark's Throne Room, I began to plan for the mission ahead...

King Zark: Grogla, you are my very best General. It has come to my attention that there are a group of people who have settled in the east. According to our scouts, they are humans. Go... and destroy them, lest they prove troublesome.
Grogla: Your orders shall be done, My King.

Arriving at the barracks, I called out an assembly for my men.

"Warriors of the Iron Grip Battalion. We have been chosen to destroy the interlopers that have arrived in the east. We have been granted the honor of annihilating these pesky humans AND taking their riches... and women. Now, MOUNT UP!" I shouted for my men to hear.

Moving towards my warg mount, I mounted it carefully. Unsheathing my sword, I shout to my men, "LET US RIDE!!!"

My band of 200 Mounted Warriors traveled to the plains in which the encamped humans were found.

"Were could they have gone?" Malika asks the look out at the top of the tower.

"I doun't know sir, we saw them running off into the woods." replyes the look out.

Shaking his head Malika looks back at the woods when sudenly the look out spots somthing out on the plains.

"Sir, it looks like there's a goblin scout out there!" the look out exclaims.

"I wonder what he could be doing?" Malika asks looking at the scout, "This can't be good, goblins will fight anthing they can. If they come and attack I sure hope Marcus and the others are back by then."
