A novella ~ "Privateer's Desire: Stealing Romance"

The soft pre-dawn light fills the tent and I awaken once again to the luxury of your arms wrapped possessively around me. I sigh contentedly. I definitely could get used to this, I think. I am amazed at your tenderness with me; the way you took such care with me after the training yesterday.

4WKJCRU.jpg

I marvel at the way you will in one hour treat me as your intellectual equal and demand I work and train as hard as any of your men, and then, as if a switch flips, you pull me into your arms to make sure my every need is met and every bruise and scrape is ministered to as if I am but a small child in your care.

While I could not have imagined what being with you would actually be like all those weeks I pined for you on the Tristan, I find the reality is far better than I could have ever dreamed. My Captain, my love, the man who makes my soul complete!

I knew in my heart from that first soul wrenching kiss in the starlight summer garden, that all I would ever want and need was my dear Captain, and everything which has transpired since that magical night has only reinforced this belief in my breast.

Eagerly, I welcome your morning caresses and carnal need. It matches mine own. And leaves me energized for the day. Walking hand in hand to the Nile I am astounded at the beauty of this strange land. I will be grateful to quit it, but in this moment, with my love by my side, the sheer beauty of the day is nearly overwhelming.

We bathe and kiss, talking companionably as if we have done this every morning for years. The warm river water swirling around our legs. The plan for the day, you tell me, is swimming.

“Swimming? Darling, my father taught me to swim when I was but a little girl, thus, I have never been afraid of the water,” I smile slightly, not wanting to brag.

“Ach, excellent – but do you know how to dive?” you query.

“Dive?” I look into your dark eyes, startled. “No, oh no, no, no, I have never…what do you mean – dive?” as I struggle to imagine what you will ask be asking me to do.

“Well, darling, my ship, the Constantine, the top deck, it is quite high up from the water. And I need you to be able to dive from the ship if necessary,” your eyes dance merrily at my discomfiture. “I promise I will keep you safe and make it fun for you.”

I look at you skeptically. Diving? I love the water, but I have been accustomed to wading into it, or sliding into it from shore as the waves break over my body.

Finally, I nod. Of course, I know you will keep me safe. I trust you. And if you say I must learn to dive, well, then, I must learn to dive. We finish our breakfast and Antoine appears as if from nowhere, pulling you aside to speak to you quietly.

Your brow furrows briefly and then clears as you realize I am watching you intently. Then, loud enough for me to hear, “I need you to set up a simple diving platform for m’lady. Can you make it so?”

“Ay sir, will be a simple task, will take but a few minutes.”

“Excellent,” you beam, “and I need one of the men to bring that trunk of baubles down from my quarters on the Lysandra.”

“Done and done,” as he turns heel and hails two other sailors to make haste with him to complete their Captain’s wishes.

Next you turn back to me. Capturing me ‘round the waist and pulling me close now all the men have been sent to various tasks. You kiss me deeply, taking my breath away. I will never tire of these kisses, as I melt into your arms, my worries about swimming and diving fall away from my consciousness.

You pick me up and twirl me ‘round and round until I am giggling and half dizzy. Your laughter fills my ears, hearty and rich and deep. I want to hear your laughter every day for the rest of my life. I swear I will do whatever I must to bring you happiness. To evoke that laughter. I squeeze you tightly as you set me down.

6tOs92U.jpg

Reaching up onto my toes I wrap my arms ‘round your neck and meet your mouth with my lips.

Another set of wonderful picture choices to accompany the narrative.

I found myself very amused by the conversation about diving. I can just imagine her initial reaction :D!

Looking forward to reading the continuing adventure.

“Come darling,” you say smiling into my mouth as you release our kiss. “It is time for some swimming lessons. I want to see your skill, enough dilly-dallying!

Grasping my hand in yours, you walk briskly down the beach, causing me to nearly have to run to keep up. When we get to the shore, not far from where the Lysnadra is anchored, you turn and grasp me by the waist lifting me into the air, laughing as you do so. A moment later, I am flying in the air –

KERSPLASHHHHHH(<<<click this link)

Into the water! Spluttering in the river as the current begins to carry me away from you, I collect my senses and even though I am weighed down by my wet clothes, I coordinate my arms and legs and swim. Arms and legs working together, in sync. Moving through the water, my body forces its way against the current. I can see you on shore, watching me. Briskly walking along… my stroke keeping pace with your long stride. I can see you nodding your head with approval.

I get to the Lysandra and there you are, wading into the water to pull me into your arms.

“Oh, my love- you are a veritable mermaid! You certainly can swim! A wonderful swimmer – by troth, better than any of my men, I swear!” you exclaim with a hearty laugh as I catch my breath. Pulling me into yet another kiss to end all kisses, water streaming off my hair and dripping from my clothes.

“Next – diving. We will start with something simple. Shallow water diving. Have you ever had to swim below to collect a coin or something else you might have dropped?”

I shake my head, no. You smile reassuringly at me.

“Darling, anyone who can swim upstream as well as you just did can surely collect a bit of a bauble from below.”

Tossing a heavy gold chain into the river just beyond me, I watch it slide through the water and settle onto the rocky bottom, six or eight feet below.

f9eCXMN.jpg

“Dive for it. Bring it back to me.”

I look at you doubtfully. “I do not know, my love. I can swim, but going underwater, like that? It worries me a bit.”

“All I ask is that you try. And do your best.” You smile encouragingly at me.

“Okay, okay – just do not toss me into the river again! I will go myself this time!”

Laughing, I wade into the river, holding my nose as I attempt to go below.

I struggle. I cannot seem to submerge myself. I manage to get within a few feet of the shiny chain and the current seems to sweep me away, I am unable to touch the bottom. I return to the surface, spluttering.

Happy New Year to you all.

Welcome to 2017 and the continuation of this story! I wish that you all have many enjoyable and memorable experiences thoughout the year.

Happy New Year to my excellent friend Cascadiabound.:rose:
I'm looking forward to the continuation of this story with you. I hope you and your family have a most excellent year to come.

I loved the splash sound :D! Very amusing indeed.

Swimming is not as easy to learn as it sometimes may appear.

Happy New Year :).

I loved the splash sound :D! Very amusing indeed.

Swimming is not as easy to learn as it sometimes may appear.

Happy New Year :).

Just a little something extra.

I know one or two people that are absolutely terrified of swimming, deep water etc. so, yes, from experience in trying to teach them, I agree, not so easy.

Good to see you going into the New Year. Here's today's installment.....:D

“Darling, come hither. Let us figure this out.” I say, smiling at you warmly.

Extending my hand to help you aboard, I point to the gold chain sparking beneath the rippling river water. It is clearly resting upon the riverbed. I direct you to watch me carefully as I retrieve the necklace.

Diving headfirst past the necklace I go deep, slowly exhaling along the way. As I near the chain, the current sweeps me right upon it, whereby I snatch it up and change direction turning back towards the surface.

5WLZwLA.jpg

Arriving at the ship moments later, I hold the gold chain aloft so it flashes brilliantly in the sunlight. Climbing aboard, I then ask you to relate what I did differently from you.

I am impressed at your observational skills; you have captured the essence. What you have missed, I explain to you patiently.

Tossing the chain in again, this time you dive in much like I did, though the crispness of your dive still needs work. This time, however, you unerringly reach the chain and shortly thereafter, break the surface, smiling broadly, holding it up with a shout of delight over your success!

We spend the rest of the day repeating this exercise over and over with variations as I think you are able. Gradually I make the dive more difficult and a bit higher.

First a crate is set upon the main deck, then the uppermost deck of the cabin. And then, finally a crate on that deck as well.

While this is a dive of some twelve feet, it cannot compare to diving from some of the heights we will encounter in an ocean going vessel such as the Constantine. This, we will address once we arrive in Cairo harbor.

Finally, we break for a late lunch and soak in the hot sun. Quickly peeling away our wet clothes we don short light silk robes.

Midday repast is a fantastic platter of shawerma, baladi bread and beserah, all local recipes and remarkably delicious.SIZZLING FRESHLY COOKED FOOD(<<<click this link)

The Lysandra’s chef is excellent at his craft and I am sure to let him know of our appreciation.

We have the entire upper deck to ourselves, as all of the men are foraging and elsewhere. The overhead canopy serves to both give us some relief from the relentless sun and provide some cover from prying eyes.

Cooking food when it's so late here, so mean :D :p.

I'm glad that she was able to get the chain this time around. It all still feels a little like the calm before the storm.

Speaking of cooking... How about the recipes to create that fine meal for yourself?

Menu:

Chicken Shawarma, Beef Shawarma and Lamb Shawarma,
Tahini Sauce, Salatit Zabadi (cucumber yogurt sauce), Baserah and Baladi Bread

VH1R7QO.jpg

Arabic Chicken Shawarma
Serves: 8

Ingredients:

For the Marinade
• 2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 4 large breasts)
• 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
• 2 tsp. cumin
• 2 tsp. paprika
• 1 tsp. allspice
• 1 tsp. turmeric
• 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
• 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
• Pinch of cayenne
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 1/8 tsp. black pepper

To Finish:

• 6 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil, divided
• 1/2 tsp. cumin
• 1/2 tsp. paprika
• 1/4 tsp. allspice
• 1/4 tsp. turmeric
• Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions:

1. Pour the 1/4 cup of olive oil into a large plastic zipper bag. Add in the marinade spices, then seal the bag and shake to combine.

2. Cut the chicken breasts into sixths, then place the pieces into large plastic zipper bag. Seal the bag and use your hands to work the marinade into the chicken. Place the bag of chicken into the fridge to marinate 8 hours or overnight.

3. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, then prepare a baking sheet by lining it with foil and spraying it with nonstick cooking spray. Arrange the chicken pieces evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer.

4. Bake for 8 minutes, flip the chicken pieces over, then bake for another 8 minutes.

5. Remove the chicken from the oven and let sit until cool enough to touch. Slice the chicken into thin pieces using a sharp knife.

6. Heat 2 Tbsp. of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

7. While it is heating, mix the remaining spices together in a small bowl and set it near the stove.

8. Once the oil is hot, add one third of the cooked chicken into the pan along with one third of the spices next to the stove. Cook, stirring, until the spices are spread amongst the meat and the chicken is heated through (just a minute or two).

9. Repeat this process with the remaining oil, chicken, and spices so that it is cooked in three batches (or, if you have a really, really big pan you could do it all at once).

Lamb Shawarma
I2naI54.jpg

Ingredients:

• 2 teaspoons black peppercorns
• 5 cloves
• ½ teaspoon cardamom pods
• ¼ teaspoon fenugreek seeds
• 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
• 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
• 1 star anise
• ½ cinnamon stick
• 1 tablespoon grated nutmeg, about half a pod
• ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
• 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
• 1 tablespoon dried sumac
• ¾ tablespoon kosher salt
• 1 3-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
• 3 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
• ¾ cup chopped cilantro, stems and leaves included
• 4 tablespoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice
• ½ cup peanut or other neutral oil
• 1 leg of lamb, on the bone, about 5 1/2-6 1/2 pounds

Preparation:

1. Put the peppercorns, cloves, cardamom, fenugreek, fennel, cumin, star anise and cinnamon in a cast-iron pan set over medium-high heat and dry-roast them for a minute or two, until the spices begin to pop and release their aromas. Take care not to burn them. Add the nutmeg, ground ginger and paprika, and toss for a few more seconds, just to heat them, then transfer to a spice grinder. Process the spices into powder. Transfer to a medium bowl, and stir in the sumac, salt, fresh ginger, garlic, cilantro, lemon juice and oil, and stir to combine.

2. Use a small sharp knife to score the leg of lamb in a few places, making half-inch-deep slits through the fat and meat. Put the lamb in a large roasting pan and rub the marinade all over it, using your hands to massage the meat. Turn the lamb fat-side up, cover the pan with aluminum foil and place it aside on a countertop for at least a couple of hours, or preferably, rest it overnight in the refrigerator.

3. Heat oven to 350. Remove the aluminum foil, and place the lamb in the oven. Roast for approximately 4 1/2 hours, or until the meat is completely tender. After 30 minutes of roasting, add about a cup of boiling water to the pan, and use this liquid to baste the meat every hour or so. (Add more water, as needed, making sure there is always a little in the bottom of the pan.) After 90 minutes or so, cover the lamb with aluminum foil to prevent the spices from burning. Once the lamb is done, remove it from the oven, and leave to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before carving and serving.

Beef Shawarma

WSuX1Az.jpg

Ingredients:

• 2 lbs beef sirloin
• 2 cups yogurt
• 1 tomato, chopped
• 1/4 cup vinegar
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp. oregano
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 tsp. ground pepper
• 2 bay leaves
• oil for frying

Instructions:

Slice the beef into bite-size slices. Put in a bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and let marinade for at least 6 hours in the refrigerator.

Heat a thin layer of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Using a slotted spoon transfer the beef from the marinade to the pan. Cook for 3 - 4 minutes, or until cooked through. You may need to do this in batches.

Baladi Bread

agorTI9.jpg

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 cup white flour
• 1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
• 1/4 teaspoon sugar
• 1 tablespoon honey
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 tablespoon dry yeast
• 1/2 cup to 1 cup of very warm water

Instructions:

Sprinkle the dry yeast on the top of 1/2 cup of the warm water. Sprinkle the sugar (1/4 teaspoon) as well and set aside.

In a mixing bowl sift the white flour.

Add the wheat flour to the white flour and the salt then mix them together.

In the kitchen mixer, mix the flour with the yeast mix.

Add little by little of warm water, not too much. I think you might need a max of 1 cup of warm water.

While mixing add the honey.

The dough has to be soft but not sticky to your fingers.

If sticky, do not panic, just add more wheat flour and knead more

Now, in a bowl brushed with some corn oil, add the dough and cover with plastic wrap.
Place the bowl in dark warm place for an hour.

After an hour, divide the dough into about 5 pieces and cover again with plastic wrap for 1 more hour to rise again.

This next step is optional but if you want it exactly right… sift some wheat flour in a bowl. Use a lot of it to give this baladi bread that correct rough feeling.

If you do not want to do that, just flour the surface with wheat flour before flattening the dough.

Exact steps to get the bread cooked are:

• On high heat, place the pan to be really hot.
• Put the hand grill on the other stove top on high heat.
• Take a piece of dough and flatten it with your roller over some wheat flour. Make it thin in your first trial. When you become comfortable with this recipe, you can play around with the thickness to make it fuller.

• Place the flat dough on the hot pan for 10 seconds. Then, flip it to the other side for 10 seconds.
• Move it to the hand grill and be careful with heat control.
• There needs to be a big space between the bread and the fire. Put the hand grill so it is just over the stove metal piece. You want it to get it REALLY hot.
• As soon as the bread starts to rise, lower the heat a bit and flip on the other side.

Enjoy and when it gets a bit cool, cover or place in Ziploc.

Egyptian Besara/ Busara
This dish is economical, nutritious, and very easy to put together. If you like falafel you will most probably like this dish.

CQVWZiM.jpg

Ingredients:

• 1 cup of yellow fava beans
• 2 medium onions, diced
• 3 garlic cloves. crushed
• 1/2 cup of parsley, chopped
• 1/2 cup of green cilantro, chopped
• 1/4 cup of fresh dill, chopped
• salt, cumin, and pepper to taste
• 4 Tbs of oil
• 3 cups of boiling water

Instructions:

In a saucepan, heat half the oil then add the garlic and half the onion, stir until golden yellow then add the beans, fresh herbs, cumin and add the 3 cups of water or enough to cover the ingredients completely.

When mixture reaches boiling, reduce heat and let it cook for about an hour until the beans are done, you may add more water if needed.

Turn off the heat and allow to cool.

When it is cooled, put the ingredients in the food processor and mix them until it forms kind of a smooth paste.

In a pan brown the remaining onions in the remaining oil. Transfer the besara into serving dish and top with the caramelized onions.

Refrigerate until completely chilled, or eat at room temperature. It is usually eaten cold with pita bread or as a dip.

Every day with you brings such an intensity of experiences and emotions. While we have spent time training with weapons, some of which was a review for me, the lessons you give me in diving are a new adventure. I am so grateful you did not become impatient with my initial struggles.

You made it fun for me and made certain I would be able to succeed. Showing me again and again how to improve, what I was doing wrong and praising me when I got it right. Not once did you make me feel as if I would not be able to do it, or when I did not do it perfectly, that you were disappointed in me. By noon, I was diving with confidence, able to retrieve even small coins from the highest platform.

After lunch and lounging together on the uppermost deck of the Lysandra in the desert sun, with almost nothing on, you indicate your desire to see me model the jewels and jewelry which overflows two of the trunks in the Captain’s suite. Never have I seen such riches. I shrug out of the silk dressing gown and begin to adorn myself with chains of gold and silver, necklaces of pearls and rubies and opals.

Pendants and chokers, every style and length imaginable. There are heaps of bangles and bracelets. I sit before the trunk and slide one after another over my arms until I have 20 or 30 on each. They shine so brightly in the sun. I find rings – some fine and filigreed, others heavy and gem encrusted.

I slide them onto my fingers finding ones that fit – looking at them, deciding which ones please me. And, oh my – there are toe rings too – I have never seen such things up close – they seem, I do not know, so foreign, so exotic. But again – I am entranced and one by one, I discover which ones seem to want to slide over my toes and settle into place.

Standing up from the trunk, I see an elaborate belly chain and it makes me laugh at the thought.

“Darling – did you see this belly chain here? I exclaim. I turn towards you to see your eyes bright with humor. Clearly, you have been watching me intently for many minutes.

“Really sweetheart? A belly chain? – Do put it on. I would very much like to see you model that for me,” you respond encouragingly, your mouth full of mirth.

I look at you dubiously, and then, blushing, with a smile, begin to fiddle with it to place it around my waist. It has some elaborate clasps and beautiful rubies that are cut so beautifully they sparkle brilliantly in the sun. In one way, it feels a bit like a garment, in another, it is so revealing and risqué as it calls attention to my nakedness like none of the other jewelry does.

Once I am satisfied I have arranged it correctly on myself, I give my hips a sharp shake and shimmy over towards you mimicking the moves I saw the dancing girls make in the Cairo markets.

nS7ozac.jpg

You are transfixed… and when I get within a few steps of you, quickly you reach out and grasp me into your lap. I gasp, laughing, as you pull me into a passionate kiss. After a few moments of kissing and groping, I slip off your lap, laughing, and return to the trunks.

And then, a few moments later, I am once again at your side. A pair of earrings in the palm of my hand. I have been thinking about these since I first laid eyes on them when I went through the trunks trying on dresses the first day on board the Lysandra. I could tell immediately they were something special. Handcrafted, with elegantly set blue green stones. But they require pierced ears.

There are certainly some exotic, erotic, and rich costumes and jewellery in that trunk! Reading the descriptions of those was very enjoyable, as was picturing the dancing.

Someone has to enjoy the stolen jewels and clothes. And it's still vacation.:D

After our noon meal, we hang our clothes out over the rail to dry them more thoroughly. With amusement, and pleasure, I watch you trade your silk robe for some of the various jewelry items.
sc8ctvd.jpg
..........
udOd1Hk.jpg

Gold chains of every weight and description, some studded with stones, some plain, a handsome belly chain, bracelets and bangles, rings, toe rings, and some beautiful earrings.
All of the jewels and jewelry look so exotic displayed on your naked body.

You try on everything in many combinations, wanting to see what I like. Honestly, I like them all, though the pieces with gold, rubies, and opals particularly grab my attention.

And my attention is evident as you note my growing arousal. The last item you bring to me in the palm of your hand… a beautiful set of earrings.

“Darling, have you seen these earrings? I have been thinking about this pair – they are so beautiful.”

“Yes, my love,” I smile at you, encouragingly, “Tell me your thoughts.”

Biting your lip, you cast your eyes down, staring at the earrings in your hand as I watch you collect your thoughts.

“When I was in the slave market, and then enslaved by Hamad, I noticed how many of the slave girls were adorned with various piercings." you start slowly with a slight tremor to your words.

Continuing, "Like it was some kind of outward sign indicating their ownership by whichever master. One household would all have the same kind of piercings, and wear similar jewelry.”

“I am familiar with the custom.” I reply whilst rubbing my ear, thoughtfully.

You begin to tremble slightly, “Um, well, at the time, I was so afraid. Afraid for my future, afraid you might be dead, afraid someone would mutilate me in some exotic fashion like some of the slaves I saw all around me.”

wv3uh5k.jpg

Suddenly, tears well up, and you come into to my proffered arms and begin to sob, your shoulders heaving as you release your pent up fear and anxiety.

“Oh, my Captain! I thought I would never see you again! And yet you did come for me - you crossed an ocean for me; you saved me not once, but twice from a life of slavery." your words start to come out in a rush.

"Not only that, but you spared me from a miserable life with that wretched fiancé and his horrible family, I have lost count of the number of times you risked your life for me and, and and....”

Your sobs overtake you, and your tears wet my neck. As I hold you in my arms I can feel you quivering, overwhelmed with emotion.

Barely able to speak through your tears, you sob into my chest, “You saved my life at risk of your own. I cannot be more thankful. I owe you my life. I will do anything for you. Everything, anything, you will of me.” Your tears stream down your cheeks as you gaze at me with love, adoration, desire and devotion that shakes me to my very soul.

The baring of a woman’s naked soul will cause the most brutish of men to stand in awe. While I am no brute, I am thusly affected by you.

I do my best to comfort you, whispering soothing sounds and murmuring endearments. As you slowly settle down, I touch your face and hair and kiss your forehead.

“Darling, by my flashing sabre and thundering pistols, you are safe now. None shall ever threaten you thusly again. You are mine and I am yours.” Such manly metaphors are more comfortable for me to speak of as I recall all the planning I did to rescue you.

Now holding you close, I gather my thoughts, considering all these things and more.

Really well chosen pictures. They mirror the images I had in my mind.

Their deep feelings for each other are so clear, and that makes me wonder what the captain has in mind.

With trepidation, I show them to you, an idea burning in my mind that both excites and terrifies me. “Have you seen these earrings?” I begin…

EvCB7WF.jpg

and with your gentle encouragement, I relate all of the thoughts which have been running through my mind as I have been playing dress up in with Hamad’s things.

Only days ago, I was a slave, I was sold and was chattel – and while, I might have been given some of these things to wear – it would have been to please the Master, not because I chose it.

It had become abundantly clear to me in the bathhouse at the slave market there were many ways to be marked as owned. Most all of the women had special piercings or tattoos indicating to whom they belonged.

Almost unconsciously, I curl into your lap as I begin to talk, needing to feel your arms around me. Wanting to feel secure as I recall the terror of these last weeks. Involuntarily, I tremble slightly, relating things I had seen and unburdening my heart of all of the things I had feared and worried about.

I feel a dam break in me as I confess to you my terror – that you were perhaps dead, that I would indeed be a slave FOREVER. My voice breaks and suddenly I am sobbing in your arms… unable to stop, my body wracked, releasing all of the fear and anxiety I have kept at bay for so many weeks.

“You saved my life at risk of your own. I cannot be more thankful. I owe you my life. I will do anything for you. Everything, anything, you will of me.” Tears stream down my face as you hold me tight, comforting me as you murmur endearments and devotion to me.

As I begin to calm down, you assure me, “None shall ever threaten you thusly again. You are mine and I am yours. ” A pensive look settles on your features. Speaking softly, tenderly, “Those earrings are unique. I wish for you to wear them and be known by those earrings, they will be a sign that you are mine alone.”

I listen carefully as you speak, telling me your thoughts, impressing upon me what this would mean between the two of us. “My love, this ear piercing shall be a bond between you and me. I will pierce them myself.” My thoughts continue to race as you speak, thinking of all I have been through, and so grateful to finally be in your arms. To be safe at last and to know in my heart you will always come for me, always defend me and protect me, now and forever. Still quietly crying, tears silently sliding down my cheeks.

“Tell me, will you endure this for me, darling?”

Clutching the earrings tightly in my hand, I consider your proposal. The idea of you piercing my ears both terrifies and enthralls me.

More than anything I want to please you. And oh yes, I DO want to wear these and have them be an outward sign that I belong to you and only you – the Privateer’s woman. Setting my jaw, I wipe my tears and, determined to be brave, I meet your gaze steadily,

“Yes darling, yes, I will. I want nothing more than to be yours now and forever. And the idea of having an outward sign, a unique jewel that announces to all the world that I am yours and yours alone…oh darling! I so want that very much!”

My words begin to rush out as I think about you piercing me to wear these for you, marking me as yours.… “oh darling! I so want that very much!”

I hug you tight as can be, burying my face in the hollow of your neck, inhaling your scent. I worry this piercing will hurt, but I want it more than I fear any pain.
