A Pirates Life for Me

Right, then Max will simply go aboard and look around, and possibly locate a cabin for himself.

And good night to you Renegade. I shall be on a little longer, maybe another half-hour.

Ha and I asked for officers, well I left that section blank feel free to say you were already on the ship and missed it or respond to my post either way works.

Although I think I implied the ramp was up, we could just say most of them didn't want to get on with out some one to say "Welcome aboard."

Any how we can sort this out tomorow, for now however I am sleeping.

I've worked out something so far. It will be up in the next few minutes, so you can then work with that.

So, good night cats, rest easy.

Alright, have fun with that. :D

Good night, I head for bed myself now.

im really pleased with the response this thread has got, as soon as Aries posts and we get him squared away, the real adventure will begin.

Ain't that just like Aries? Disappearing without a word? I say yes it is.

*shakes head sadly*

So, Renegade, how are ya you crazy Irishman?

I checked several times yesterday but decided not to post anything.

Hey, cats, did your character happen to follow Max back to the docking bay door? Because if she didn't then Max wasn't there to hear her question.

I assumed she saw him and shouted or something. Otherwise I'll do a way did he go post.

My post was vague enough you could of worked around it. Any how I edited it so it works.

Well I have a minor delema.

So lets get your opinion.

I just finished college. I live at my parents home and am looking for employment. I have used three of the six months of the grace period on my student loan. Now I could easily find employment at jobs that don't interest me and is under college level, say a cleck at walmart. (First to pop in my head.)

So in your opinion should I make a commitment to a bussiness thats beneath my level or should I continue looking for college level work in feilds I'd like full time.

Get the work experience at Wal-Mart or where ever while you look for the job of your dreams. At least you'll have an income and something to put on a resume.

as in any sci-fi, the ship is an important character in its own right. so i shall post a bio.

history: the Ogdru's Vengeance started its life in the shipyards of Curzia, one of the main ship manufacturers in the PGC. It was originally designated "C.S.S. Dorla" after the planet that its first captain came from, and it was assigned to the 13th fleet. After the disastrous defeat of the PGC 13th fleet at Kalamar by the visionary Kreeyar Admiral Kartuum, The wounded Dorla bugged out and made for PGC space, but its warp engines had been damaged in the battle and it emerged in wildspace. It was then attacked by Pirate Lord Kage'mar, an infamous Dorian pirate captain, and captured. It was towed back to his asteroid fortress and repaired. He then renamed it Kuraya and added the two rail drivers, which were usually reserved for Frigates and Battleships. He embarked on a reign of terror until he crossed the Pirate King Dolumar who killed Kage'mar and auctioned the ship, when it was bought by none other then Captain Ren Navarone who repaired it and renamed it "Ogdru's Vengeance."

Nice history. I want to ask about pirate kings and lords. Are these self given titles or do they have meanings? (Just curious, I supose it has little effect on game play.)

its mostly an understood sort of rank. No one is bound to obey them, its just kind of understood that they are the most feared and most powerful. a lord might have a small fleet and asteroid base or somesuch, whilst a king may have many captains working for him or terrorize a planet into paying tribute or something. its not really etched in stone or anything. for example Pirate King Dolumar has twenty ships working for him, two asteroid bases, three planets who pay tribute and is kind of the unspoken master of Galtuga space station, which is where the Pub at the End of the Universe is. Pirates rise and fall all the time so such things as titles are pretty fluid.

I see. It reminds me of how scientific theory actualy works. If you like an idea you call it a theory if you don't you remind people its a hypothesis, once enough people call it a theory it more or less is considered one. Mind any one who dislikes it will still call it a hypothesis. (This might be true only in psycology, testible science might also use another meathod.)

I've created a full crew list and a brief explanation of the races that have not been explained. located in the opening post of this thread for ease of reference. Take a look if you have any questions about other crewmembers in order to make a better post involving interaction with them. They can be used as needed, they are "splattable" characters so i having them say something is not godmodding at all.

If it has a name, then its mortal. *squints eyes* We can kill it.

Or, as I believe Renegade mentioned before, if it bleeds, it can die. (or however that phrase went.)
