I totally agree. My ex wife let me keep our private photo album (back in the days of film) with the promise I would never show them to any one. Took a lot of trust on her part, especially given how nasty things got during our separation, but I have never betrayed that trust. The only person that has seen that photo album is MrsStromer and that was by accident. She was sorting through some old boxes in our basement and found the box with all my old photo albums, including the private one with my ex wife's pics.
