It happens....I still say y'all...but my voice changes after talking to someone southern....it only lasts for a little while though.

I have advanced degrees, and I'm an attorney, but I have a syrupy drawl, y'all, and accidentally call all sorts of people 'honey,' including most people younger than me, and my girl friends.
I heard from another lawyer about a times she dealt by phone with New York attorneys, who obviously thought they were going to fleece this hick lawyer from down South. My friend just let them carry on, patronize her and behave carelessly, but those Yankee lawyers sobered up real quick when they realized they'd been had.
A honeyed Southern accent in the warm mouth of a beautiful woman is a dangerous thing!
