Abdominoplasty

As my devoted stalker Queef has reminded people dozens of times, I have had one.

Since you keep conflating me with Q:

So what? Your businness, nobody else's.
My face looks like a fat pie even when I'm at my thinnest - I thought about plastic surgery but didn't go through with it in my 20's, now I'm too old to care.

But people sometimes get fed up and push back when you call them stinky unwashed fat pakis, or you wish them a quick death from their life-threatening heart conditions.

Mrs t's sis lost a pile of lbs and had a tummy tuck and a boob job in 2010. One of the boobs deflated, so she needed warranty work in 2013 or so. The tummy tuck was a good job because after she went back to her normal sedentary life eating crap food and she got fat again, everything stretched out with no issues.

So yours would just have been skin removal?
What's the recovery like, and what don't they tell you?
I would recommend watching some episodes of Botched... my God, the awful things done to people that those doctors have to fix. Tummy tucks are often the worst.
Not being a complete eejut, I'm well aware that there's risks and that getting a good surgeon is important. However, fixing the diastasis recti isn't just about vanity. It's been a pain in the arse for the best part of twenty years. I see it as necessary surgery for my long term health.

Anyone had one?

I had a breast reduction - somewhat different, but I guess a vaguely similar process. If it'll make you feel better, just do it. Life's too short - I seriously wish I'd had my operation ten years earlier.

i need one, i lost a massive amount of weight and now have this extra skin, but its an elective not needed surgery so i am not willing to pay for it at this time

What you need is... to PM me.

I guess I was thinking it as a serious surgery rather than a clean up job.

Anyone who loves you wont care, cept that you do, so if you're ok with getting it done, and can deal with recovery, way yay for you. They just want you to be ok

I should say. you see it with 'amateur' girls in porn. I dont know how the tags get put on, but the ones that arent undersized or oversized have a niche, and it seems to be by default chubby, which is girls that think they might have a belly, but use lingerie to hide it just in case.

I lost 140 pounds (62kg) total, forever depriving the RWCJ of their beloved "but...but...Rob is FAT!" retort.

I looked like a deflated human being. I visited a couple of plastic surgeons, so many of them are sketchy. I looked at the "brag book" (before and after pics) and saw "me" from the neck down in a "before" pic....and the "after" pic was damned impressive. "you can make me look like that?" "I guarantee that". I put down a deposit then and there.

He refused to do the surgery unless I signed up for flank liposuction as well "You will look lop-sided if you don't, and you won't be happy". Had that done as well.

Sooo...I had both done.

  • They offered a "sewn in" dissolvable pain medication patch placed over your muscles and under your skin...this was a game-saver. virtually no pain at all for the all-important first six days. Best optional $400 I have ever spent.
  • Liposuction surprisingly hurts
  • You have to wear a compression garment (think "Spanx") for three months afterwards.
  • You will walk at a 15 degree forward tilt for a couple of months because your ab muscles are sewn together so tightly.
  • You will not be able to lie flat on your back for 3-4 months. You will need a foam sleeping wedge.
  • You will have a brand new artificial belly button
  • You will have one or two drains in you for 10 days or so. Leave them in as long as possible! (Lie and tell your doctor you're still emptying the drains often). Fluid will continue to accumulate in your abdomen after you have them removed. Gravity eventually forces fluid downward, my balls swelled up to about the size of a softball for a month.
  • You'll be upset that your waist line will actually be BIGGER temporarily after surgery, from fluid accumulation. Make sure you have some bigger clothes around for three weeks or so
  • I signed a consent form since I had so much tattoo-free skin to have it donated to burn grafting centers

Now the good parts:
  • You will look sexy as hell
  • You will eventually be able to lie on your back and bounce a Euro coin off your abs and hit the ceiling fan. Very kewl party trick.

I spent 8,000USD having mine done as elective surgery (all paid out of pocket, Que's whining to the contrary that the government paid for it notwithstanding). It's worth it.

p.s. I had a female friend wanting the tummy tuck too, but she had distasis recti like you do and the doc said that has to be fixed first.

I figured that it's going to get harder to heal once I get past a certain age, sooner is better than later, and now that the kids are grown I can spend money on myself.

I figure if you know youve stopped having kids, and want to stay a certain weight, all the good.

You're the right person to do it,

Not so much age, but once the Menopause Fairy visits I'm told scarring is a bit more noticeable. The scar is rather long.
