The best crabs come from the Chesapeake Bay. The blue crab is called the beautiful swimmers and they are a lot of fun to catch. Eating crabs is an event....you don't just eat, they take time to pick and get to the meat. Since its a slow process, you have time to converse and socialize with friends and family. Its not a solitary thing to do. Its imperative to have a cold beer(s)- the add ons like sweet corn and hush puppies are secondary to Old Bay seasoned beauties.

Have fun in Portugal- I've always wanted to travel there.

Yum that is like a low country boil. We use snow crab, spicy sausage, corn, potato, and shrimp with some old bay... Add some crawfish and then it's new Orleans style

Old Bay is a Maryland company and the seasoning was developed for blue crabs. Summer cooking is such fun!
