I've seen "Adult Friend Finder" mentioned so many times on the internet, and I've run across it so many times, that I have been wondering if there is anything to it. I figured this would be a good place to ask. I've always assumed it was a money-making scam, as opposed to a money-making operation.

I guess I've always assumed that there are about 1,000 guys to every woman on there.

Without further adieu.... some of my questions to members, or to those who know members:

Are men able to meet women off of that site? Women, do you meet men off of that site? Are the pictures of women "in your area" for real? etc etc. Is it worth it?

Any info would be appreciated.

Adultfriend finder is beat .......... like it was said earlier, don't waste your time ! You have to pay just to browse the personal ads there.

I did the AdultFriendFinder thing just at the time when they were switching from mostly free to pay. In my opinion? Don't bother. I did meet a few men from the site, but one was married and lied (he called me after we met and admitted he was married only because he said he felt guilty that I had been so honest with him), and other 2 simply wanted to say "Hi", get into bed, and be done with it. And this when I stated in my profile that I was looking for a long term relationship.

I did do the chat thing for a while, but that simply turns out to be a bunch of horny, desperate men who quickly look up the profile of every woman who enters the chat "room" then demands her IM and when she won't give it out, move onto the next "hottie" that enters the room.

I suppose it would depend on what you are looking for. A quick lay? Good luck. Most of the women clue in very quickly that if a woman gives it up quickly the guy goes back into the chat room and lets his "buds" know. Nothing like getting the reputation of a slut, ya know? But then, these same men will also go back into a room and let the guys know when a woman won't give it up, either, or consistently refuses to meet men. Of course, what these men don't seem to understand is that I feel insulted when a man "demands" that I meet him somewhere at 11pm on a Friday night because he needs to get off. (Shit, get a hooker, will ya?)

I have long since been out of there, but I suppose it can work for you. Just be honest with what you want and only contact women who want the same thing. If you're looking for a one night fling, don't contact a woman wanting a long term relationship and "hope" she'll give it up for you. Ain't gonna happen and she's gonna make you buy her dinner.

Now, to offset all of this, I met my S/O at SexyAds, so go figure. We've been going out for over a year and are very serious about each other. Neither of us paid for our ads, either. But, things can work out. Just go in with your eyes open.

In my humble, but well researched opinion, dont waste your time or your money with it or altfinder.com...Both are a huge waste of time and energy. I found it easier to meet someone on the Lit boards, in Pogo game rooms or on the Lit chat feature than anywhere else..

Just my $29.99 per year worth.

Been there, done that. A total waste of money. If you are a man expect to be tempted into subscribing to some web site with the promise of seeing more of some babe. What you'll get is more pop-up ads than you can close with five hands typing Alt-F4.

I knew I had seen way too much online porn when I started recogonising the pics some of the women post as their own.

I'm sure its possible to hook up with someone thru AFF but don't get your hopes up, or anything else!
