After the Sunday service, Liz waited in the church. She was a beautiful young girl, just turned 18, with long legs and a lushly curved figure. Her hair was long and blonde and she had beautiful blue eyes. She was wearing her pink sunday dress and heels, and she squirmed nervously in the pew, trying to pray for strength and guidance, until everyone else was gone.
Everyone except the Reverend Eric Layton. As he walked up the aisle, she stood up and went to him. He was the most intelligent man that she knew, and he was the preacher, so she was sure that he would know how to help her if anyone did. She had meant to be polite and ask aftrer his health and so on, but one look from his deep grey eyes and it all started to spill.
"I'm getting married!" she said, and before he could say a word, she went on, her words coming out in a rush. "He asked me last night, and I said yes, and I'm so excited I hardly know what to do. I'm scared, too though. I want to be a good wife, but I don't know how. I took the pledge of celibacy, and I never broke it. Now I'm finally going to be married, but I'm afraid. He's waited so long, and what if I disappoint him?"
