Having finished his drink, Chuck eyed the room, satisfied with the general mood of the party. The crowd was getting less and less inhibited by the minute, thanks to alcohol and TJ's skillful DJing.
"Speaking of TJ," Chuck thought, his eyes turned towards the DJ's spot, finding TJ talking to Kylar. It dawned on the hapless host that he mustn't ask TJ to stay stuck behind that table all night. Grabbing two cold beers, he went over.
"Dude, you're good!" Chuck exclaimed, handing TJ and Kylar the drinks. "Just look at that crowd!" He looked over Kylar, emitting a wolf-whistle, like the famous cartoon character. "I see you caught yourself someone," he grins. "Hey, if you need to get some privacy, you can just pre-program some jams into this thing. Don't mean to keep you prisoner." Chuck's eyes move from TJ to Kylar and then back. He winks: "you have fun."
Leaving the pair behind the DJ table, Chuck noticed Steve, one of his younger teammates, standing strangely unoccupied. This would never do. The party must be grand fun for everyone, especially THIS party. He went over.
"Hey, Steve, what's up?" Chuck cried out, walking towards him. "You look like you're not having fun." Chuck wrapped his arm around Steve's shoulder and lead him to the bar. "Get yourself a drink, man, it'll loosen you up." Chuck said, mixing Steve a glass of fine poison. "And once you're nice and smooth, you should go over and say hello." He nodded towards a small group of cheerleaders, one of whom kept stealing glances in their direction. "Look, she's checking you out."
