Age differences

Age Difference

Age is a state of mind - you're only as young as you feel!!!!

I am 53, my GF was 13 years younger, and the gap never caused problems between us.

Other people, however, often gave us strange looks as my hair turned silver-grey in my 30's and I looked appreciably older than my lady.

Although referred to as a cradle-snatcher (my GF was particularly young looking), we found the comments amusing.

As for our sex life - well, I hate to brag, but I was the one who tired her out ..... regularly!!!

I have been in a relationship where my SO was 31 years older than me (I was 21, he was 52). My husband is 20 years older than me.

To your questions, Bindii: Yes, with an age difference like ours, people do look, judge, etc.. Yes, people have mistakenly thought he was my father. Yes, you do even get people who will actually make pointed or rude comments.....Fuck 'Em! It's not their life. I have an incredibly happy life. My husband suits me *much* better than my previous 2, which were both within 2 years of my age.

I no longer give any thought to our age difference. It is something that "we" don't even notice anymore.

19 year age difference.
It worries her a lot.
She more concerned with what her family and friends think than what she feels.
But it was mean to be. They'll have to learn to see what she sees.

A few years ago my husband and I spit up for almost a year... I was 29 and the man I started to date (And eventually lived with for a while) was 59.... 30 years my senior. He was/is a great guy and I never once seen him as "older"... He was my best friend.

Our split up had nothing to do with our ages, and we remain friends still to this day, the truth was I still loved my husband very much...

I think if you're happy with the person? GO FOR IT!! Don't let something as menial as age get in the way of your true happiness!!

The problem can come (and I;ve seen this happen) when you have a large age difference, in the case I'm thinking of she was 25 he was 55. It's fine when the relationship starts but 15 years later - well let's just say that you can grow a lot older between 55 and 70 than you do between 25 and 40.

I say, if your old enough to get involved in a relationship with such an age difference then you know to expect the "differences" when they come. So if you expect it and can accept it, then go for it if it makes you happy.

I just turned 49, Two years ago I met a 22 year old woman who was mature beyond her years.ie: smart and motivated We hit it off and I really enjoyed her company, But when it came down to it I couldnt get past the age difference.

Younger is Better!

Well, I'm 33 and my husband is 25. It's closer to 9 years than 8, but does it really matter?? What matters to me is that he accepted me as I was and accepted my 2 year old when we met. He is the best partner and father. We now have an 8 month old daughter and my son is 5. I think he keeps me younger. Not to mention the sex drive/peak thing. I do feel like I'm the more controlling partner in our marriage, but it works for me.

Age is a state of mind! I'm 98 my girlfriend is 10, she never complains about hours of heavy sex!

Age Differences

The special man in my life is 13 years younger than me and it matters not.........we have one of those rare and wonderful soul/energy/physical/emotional/intellectual connections. He told me from the beginning that he is an old soul and he prefers it to be the way it is. I never realized until now what was possible in a relationship..............I am truly blessed.

Well... I'm not sure if mentioning illegal relationships is out of the question.. but *shrugs* I might as well..

when I was 15 I had a g/f who was 22.. That worked for a while, but she was too immature (Funny how that works out, eh?)

Age is purely in your mind. I know twelve year olds who are more mature than I am and 50 year olds *coughcoughppmancough* ;) who are less mature.
