AI and Beauty

There is discussion on here about AI and porn. This more about AI itself.
I am not a computer expert, and of a generation that sometimes feels threatened by Thec.

But like so many, I am worried about AI, effect on jobs, people no longer in control of things, and a sort of Orwellian nightmare, no privacy at all.

AI seeks perfection. We, humanity, do not. Blemishes are part of what we are. Beauty and character are enhanced by those blemishes.
The most famous painting ever is of a fascinating, mysterious, imperfect woman.
AI can replicate, but Leonardo gave birth to her as a work of art.
God save imperfection !

AI seeks perfection

Says who?

For AI to "seek" anything at all, it would have to either be alive or be instructed to seek something its instructor considers beauty.

"Ai seeks perfection" seems like a sci-fi trope more than a real life fact.

Sound points. I guess it is the people who promote and sell AI, who are seeking, ir claiming, perfection.
SciFi, or predicting the future has a pretty good record with books like "1984" and "Brave New World". Sci fi writers are underestimated in many ways. EM Fosters short story, "The Day The Machine Stopped" runs true. scarily.

Perhaps when it comes to facts, figures, etcetera...AI is working towards perfection. Or users want it to. And that is not necessarily a bad thing.

But when it comes to art, the results will become a product of averages. The average of whatever users en masse give it for requests/information to work with. Whatever prompts and commands users gives it.

However, when it comes to the human form, humans will likely use it to create the perfect, desirable "look". Much of that "look" produced by AI will set an even higher, impossible bar for women (and men) to try and meet. There has been, and is incredible pressure now, particularly for women (young & old alike), to try and meet that ideal look; via the barrage of images presented in advertising, media, social media, porn, et al. Young impressionable girls and women, do and will, suffer the greatest. Perhaps AI images will make that pressure and societal malady even worse.
