Nice to get a better look at your tats too - lovely blackwork, and the cat looks quite unique . . . been trying to get round to designing my 2nd one, but it's been about 6 years since I got the first . . . damn tricky trying to design a tat for your own shoulders though . . .

The first one was taken the day it was done - as you can see, it was very red and swollen. I won't put a later one of that up as there is already one at the beginning of this thread!

Thanks for the pics Aika, I really like your tattoos. The worst thing about getting the tattoo on the leg done, was the tattooing itself. That hurt quite a bit, even more than those I have on my upper arms. My guess is it's because there isn't much body fat on my leg, so the muscle is close to the surface. But it haven't scared me away from wanting to get one on my left leg as well The question is just what it'll be ...

Well, they hurt as the needle went in...very intense and sharp pain as you would imagine but it only lasted about 10 seconds in all.
For about an hour afterwards, I was aware that they had been done but after that, nothing!
Of course, when I go to bed tonight and give them a clean, I expect they may sting a bit and possibly in the morning but in all honesty, at the moment, I wouldn't know I had had anything done!

Yeah I can imagine it would be a bit stingy there...not a problem I suspect I would have though, since I do have ample covering on my legs!

I would like to get something done on my ankle...possibly but might actually go for having my feet done instead.
Eventually I intend having the designs on my arms joining up across my shoulders.

Would love to have something down my ribs and curving up to just under my breasts but I have virtually no fat around my ribs so I suspect that would actually hurt a fair bit!

Stumbo - why don't you take a pic of your back/shoulders, put it thru the pc, print it out onto normal paper and then play around with some designs...maybe draw some on with pencil?
Might be worth a try - I did that with my arms although as it turned out, my tatooist designed the ones I have, using my ideas.
