Anyone find this a humorous way to parodying Trump after he said that immigrants were "eating the cats and dogs"? Keep in mind the alien wanted to eat the cat. Also, Alf wanted to be "Rich like Donald Trump" on the show itself.

The human actors deeply resented being forced to play supporting roles to a prop. Tensions grew so intense during the fourth season that the father, Max Wright (who played Willie Tanner), allegedly snapped, physically attacked the ALF puppet, and had to be pulled off by crew members. Wright later compared the humiliating acting experience to being a puppet himself. The entire human cast has frequently described the production as one of the most miserable experiences of their careers.

Sounds like absurd fiction, but then I did see people getting pissed off that Kermit stopped dating Ms Piggy and started dating a thinner female pig puppet.

So I'm forced to agree that could have easily happened.
