The room was almost painfully quiet, the kind of absence of noise that makes you forget what your own voice sounds like. I'm not sure what I should have expected, I mean it was Saturday night and I was here alone at 11:48 PM...in my dorm's laundry room. And I suppose that I had some company here - namely, the heavy washing machines and dryers, which practically were the walls of this place. I must admit, although my residence was clean, proper and pretty elegant, these four walls did not match that appearance at all. If someone were to simply just look at this room and not venture off into the university campus, or even the residence building, they would think that I resided in a run down neighborhood in Detroit.
The heat in this room used to kill me. I mean, I'm not sure what gives off this amount of unpleasant warmth - perhaps because of the nearby boiler room? Anyway, that's besides the point. Recently, I've developed this tendency to go through this routine wearing simply my underwear...and a pair of high heels. I wasn't looking for attention, mind you - otherwise I wouldn't be here at this hour of the night.
My name is Alyssa Myles. I'm a second year student here in the University of New York, studying Forensic Science. I'm lucky to have been born in this city, I think. I regularly meet international students who come from all over the globe and find themselves lost in this incredible city. I find myself under most evenings studying away, trying to grab hold of any scholarship available. That doesn't mean that my social life is completely non-existent; I do have my share of admirers. Still, I'd rather spend my free time in the library, rather than go do something absolutely childish, such as binge drinking.
Most of my friends thought that I was being silly a good portion of the time - that there should be this balance between play and work. What is more, they would from time to time claim to be jealous of my own body - telling me that I have filled up perfectly in all the right spots, essentially. Still, I had my heart set on achieving the most I possibly could in life.
Suddenly, however, I found my thoughts cut off short as I placed my clothes in the dryer. It seemed to me that I heard a far off sound of a door opening. Someone coming to wash their clothes at this hour? Then it hit me - my attire. Good lord, I wonder what this person would think of me being like this...
(I need a male writer capable to writing detailed posts and playing as a confident, dominant male character. If you're interested, please PM me. Thanks!
