As for the the drinking most of the time I drink craft beer.
If I'm drinking liquor I almost always keep soju on hand. It's easy to drink often dangerous since you can knock down a bottle fast. They come in soooooo many flavors. They mix well with anything not that you need to but, sometimes why not. Recently had a JawsBar and Melona soju cocktail.
I usually keep a bottle of makers mark around just for "jack and cokes". I think I tried always having the ingredients for an old fashion but, end up drinking it straight anyways. Though my roommates prefer tequila or vodka and they stock up more on hard liquor than I do. They also aren't cocktail people so it's just shots.

Little old wine drinker me? Well I will admit to the ocassionally wee dram. My eldest daughter live in Scotland so I have tasted a few whiskys. My favourite Scotch is Oban, smooth and not at all smoky. I visited the distilliary a few years ago and was able to have a sip of the undiluted spirit coming off the still at about 80 percent it sets your mouth on fire.

Even with these modern floor cleaners, you still sometimes have no alternative but to get down on your knees to brush those difficult corners. Not sure why you think it's fun, or why you would want to take photos. Before and after, maybe? To check how effective your efforts have been? I'm somewhat naive in such matters.

I'm a scotch fan mostly. I'm currently working on a lovely Oban (Little Bay) which is a nice smooth relatively mild (peaty wise) scotch but has some very nice complex flavors. I've really enjoyed it.
Others I like include Ardbeg and Talisker. Of couse Macallan and Glenfidditch are nice very drinkable (and very easy to find) mainstays.
I do some bourbon. My favorites include Four Roses and Woodford Reserve. I'm not as fond of bourbon, it's a little too sweet for me, but those two are a little better.
Here's the thing about scotch (and bourbon too). You'll get a lot of people with a lot of opinions (opinions are like...). The great thing about single malt scotch is that there is variety. Different people have different tastes and that's ok (I mean, we seem to be OK with it in sexuality here, why not whisky?). One of the things that I find fun is to try new ones, and see what I like and what I don't.
That said, I know best.

Ye might want to try a scotch tasting. Try the 4 types of scotch. The highland, low land, isle, Spey. Each has its own unique flavor.
When I try a new to me scotch. I try it straight then neat. The little splash of water tea brings out the subtle flavors in the scotch

Yes I enjoy a good liquor now and then. My go to is either scotch or tequila. I’m learning about bourbons.
The bourbons I like so far are Four Roses and a craft distillery made brown sugar bourbon. Really good stuff.
