Alright, I Have a Weird One

Every once in a month of Sundays I get an odd notation pop up in my Activities. "Someone (anonymous) has commented on your deleted work."

To my knowledge I've never deleted anything but have withdrawn a submission. Of course I can not see what was commented on or what the comment was. Anyone know how this happens?

It's no pretty off of me but it's exceptionally odd.

Pretty much. The wording is bug (sad that they didn't fix it when turning "Anonymous commented ..." to "Someone commented...") but the notification means the comment is missing, not the story.

I will confess to forgetting I’d commented on a story, having three show up at once after moderation, and deleting the lowest value one so I didn’t look like a complete lunatic.

I suspect multiple works, same-universe, and being hangry inspire a bit of supplemental deleting.
