I wanted to say how much I love this story. Absolutely brilliant. I read it a few months ago, and when I clicked through to check it out earlier today I went "Oh my God, this story!" I hadn't remembered the title, but as soon as I read the first paragraph I remembered the rest - it's one that totally lodges in the brain.

I have not, alas. I think the biggest fictional influence on Loss Function was probably This Is How You Lose The Time War, strongly recommended for anybody who enjoys F-F romance and sci-fi.
