America Rising An Open Letter to Democrat Politicians

I do not believe I've ever even heard, let alone read, a reference to "Capitalistic entitlement" and, honestly, I don't like attaching that negative - "entitlement" - to such a beautiful, natural word.
Well, I have, here and there. Might be because you don't hang out with die-hard socialists much. ;) And when I've heard it, it has been to describe the (supposed) capitalist notion that money is might and that might makes right... that wealth should equal political influence, somtehing that seems to scare anyone who hums The Internationale in the morning shower.

But, I'm truly struggling to communicate within a socialist society where the word "capitalistic" negatively means exactly what you and underthestern automatically accept as reality.
You are mistaken about me. I'm a fan of capitalism. Just not a fanatic. (I'm not naive enough to believe that laisses fairy tale capitalism isn't without it's own problems though. but that's another discussion.) It was the use of "entitlement" that I didn't really understand.

And I still don't understand what you meant by it in that context.

It's the difference between an individual at liberty to contribute to the welfare of others, by his own choosing, and an individual who is FORCEd to contribute whether he chooses to or not.

When I take the widow down the road a couple bags of groceries a couple times a week, that's capitalistic entitlement in my eyes. My money, my choice how I spend it in regards to the welfare of another.

Socialist entitlement, on the other hand, is someone else lording both how much I must give and to whom/what my money is given...

...as in all manners between capitalism and socialism, the defining point is FORCE.

Yah but, entitlement IS forced. The word you're looking for is welfare. Where calitalistic welfare is charity. And socialistic welfare is entitlement.
