The point is, This is nothing else but a war of aggression. It is as nefarious as what the Japanese did to America during World War 2, or what Russia is doing to Ukraine now. Heck if some foreign government went and took out Trump, I would be more outraged by foreign interference in our country, than I would be glad that our own dictator is gone. Trump and America should apologize on the international stage and pay reparations for what he did.
Believe it or not, I can understand this action from the standpoint of geopolitical strategy. Just because I understand the geopolitical strategy however, does not mean I approve of it morally, nor should anyone. Let's not kid ourselves, this was NEVER about drugs or narco-terrorism. It was, and it ALWAYS was, about seizing control of Venezuelan oil deposits, and keeping it away from China and Russia.
Yes, it makes sense geo-politcally, but if you try to justify it on that terms, you are also justifying what Hitler and Japan did during World War 2, or what Russia is doing now. And war is never justifiable. This is war. Against an innocent population and a non-aggressive country. America is, or was, better than that.
I pray that someday America can be the good guys once again.
