I disagree. I think what VB is trying to say is than mankind is not UNintelligent enough to understand. Man has developed too far and as such has far too complex a thought proccess to grasp the reality of the universe.

I'm also nearly as certain that the first thing he would want to know about your query is "Why?"

Can you honestly say that if you knew the meaning of the universe it would change the way you live? And if so why would it? Isn't it enough that we are alive? If your life is satisfactory now what could possibly change your outlook on it? What a sad testament to our lives if that knowledge changed them.

And if that knowledge would not change the way you live, why would you want to know? What purpose would there be in it? What could you do with the knowledge? And point is there in knowing if it does you know good?

Or perhaps it would be simpler to just say, "Ignorance is bliss."
