And They're Off!

I still have DP on ignore for some truly mean comments aimed at me.

That seems to be more of the same.

Well, I was just kidding. You'll get no mean comments from me. :) Only ribald comments and flirting. :rose:

Let it go, DP.

Thanks for not quoting him.

He's still being an ass?

Good thing he's on ignore.

Anyway, as to what I was referring before, seeing Bel and Imp together was very sweet. They're both very gracious, kind, funny, intelligent, they love kids and cats, and - not surprisingly - my cats loved them. ;)

I'm just sorry we didn't have more time to hang out, but I'm glad they're home, safe and sound.

Any time, beautiful. :rose:

I'm very, very happy for imp and Bel. :)

DP, there are some who ignore me here... why, I 'm not sure. But that is not my issue. They, as people, will always be worth my time, my prayers, and my consideration.

This started as a thread to celebrate the love that Bel and Imp share, and a new chapter in their love story. It shouldn't deteriorate into something ugly.

I agree with you on what this one is about.
I didn't change it but will leave so as not to sully something good about good people.

Actually, he wasn't being an ass. He was being a normal part of the conversation and then apparently got upset because it was being assumed that he WAS being an ass.

No one likes to be falsely accused.

Since then, he has shown a little bit of his annoyance.

In recognition of the fact that this thread does indeed celebrate the next step in a process, might I remind everyone that the next step in the Lit Post-Election process is forgiveness?

I'll swing a sword as hard as anyone, but when the day is done and the victory won, we must bury our dead and celebrate and mourn.

I feel like I got very little done yesterday, but I aim to improve on that today. The plan is to get the rental truck emptied into the garage, then disperse. I have a promise of help from Imp's middle child, largely based upon my statement that Rockband does not exit it's box until his mom can park in her garage again. :D

Now she's poking at me for referring to our move as a "process."

The wonderful part is that it is not on bluetooth, but from the chair next to me.

:D:D:D:D

How does that excuse his dig at me, then?

When he stops being an ass, he'll stop being accused of it. Very simple.

On topic: I'm very glad y'all made it safely. :rose:

You two make me smile, big.

*grins*

See?

Enjoy the unpacking Mr Editor and Ms Artist!

I will wave at them as they drive through Indianapolis. I know they are headed towards Steeler country for a game there... so

(yes yes I know its more then that.... don't grumble at me)

I had to pull a U-turn to figure that out. Sorry, my mind was int he gutter.

But getting back on topic, good to see bel & imp arrived safely. May the rest of the road be long and smooth.

We actually stopped in Indianapolis to have "lunch" (at 11pm) with Bel's cousin who, coincidentally, also works for a trucking company. It was the only stop we made (other than Sarahh's overnight) that was more than simply a refuel-and-pee break.

Aha... at 11 I had just finished watching ER.
:D

Damn it Cloudy!

That comment of his was WELL after he was falsely accused.

"letting it go" is a two party initiative. And you are nothing if not strong in your positions, thus creating great amounts of animosity. Something you seem proud of. So to not be aware that you create lingering disgruntlement directed at yourself is rather naive at best. That disgruntlement travels between threads.

Back on track:

Truck is emptied. We will drive it down and return it now, the begin the slow and enjoyable task of fitting "me" in to this home.

I want pictures of my kids up A.S.A.P. Also, Anduril and some of my other weaponry. For slower moments, arranging books and DVD's on shelves.

Unpacking is actually going to be fun. I will not push the pace to the pint where it becomes too much of a chore, but I also will not be leaving things in boxes very long.

It's been too long since I could say I was truly at home.
