Today is the day.........2 years ago, that Min, Lucky, Vella and I first met.

It turned out to be a momentous day for Min and I, but its also a day I will remember forever.

Happy anniversary ladies......and my love.

Congrats. :rose:

Question, though. Is it appropriate to even think of one's anniversary on the verge of a divorce? Because it seems a bit awkward for me. And mine is not far off. Both the anniversary and the divorce.

Of course it is. It depends entirely on the type of divorce you are going through.

I know for the majority, a divorce is a very traumatic, emotionally draining, acrimonious and stressful time, ending what could have been years of hell, but for me, I was one of the lucky ones. My divorce was in no way acrimonious, my ex is still a very good friend with whom I am in regular contact, and I always remember the anniversary of my marriage. I don't want to negate or remove 34 years of my life, there is much to celebrate from those 34 years.

This is what I'm hoping for, although I fear it may be a vain hope... and we just passed 10 years. If you had asked me 15 years ago, I would have told you that 10 years was impossible. so there is some hope, albeit a slim one.

I hope that I never have to go through a divorce, but if I did, I'd want it to be like that. :rose: Glad that you managed to keep things friendly, Mat.

It's an interesting question, anyway. More ones like this, and you'll be the Abigail Landers of the AH (I mean that well). ;) I can imagine that yev isn't the first to wonder about this issue.

It's been 8 years today since my father passed. He was the most generous person I've ever known.

I love you, Dad. :rose:

You are a lucky one, Mat. My ex and I just passed our 10th January this year...the divorce will be final this month. I would hope that one day we could get along...but I don't know if that will ever happen. We are like trying to mix water and oil...*shrug*

Congrats all

Imp... :rose:

Des and I will be at one year November 10th... :nana: :D

On July 20, I'll have been married 28 years.

On June 23, I'll have been 4 years at my present job.

(I thought it was the 4th, though. The 4th of June in 2005 was a Saturday.)

Indeed.

Duh!!

Senility is obviously arriving sooner than I thought.

Senility doesn't affect your dirty mind, though. *grin*

Good heavens, no!

I've always been told that senility increases the dirtiness levels.

I'm counting on it. ;)

Merci beaucoup. :rose: I am happy for you and appreciate that kind of encouragement. The truth is that there was some happiness at the time, or else I would never have married her. I once loved her very much. It's just no longer the case. We've put each other through too much, and the blame has to be shared. I am not innocent, and neither is she. It's just best to let go and stop the anger at each other. So it's perhaps best to think back to the good, so as not to be bitter about things and how they have turned out for us.

Two years ago today, we were standing with amazing friends on a gorgeous beach in Cape Cod where we exchanged rings and vows and kisses and so many wonderful memories.

August 26th will be one year with my honey. :) Wow, that's crazy to say outloud, lol.

Tomorrow is my 24th birthday!

Tomorrow is the 3 month anniversary of my dad's death.

Hmm, I think that's it. :)

16th of April (yes my birthday) is also our "Ok, fine, we love each other, can we stop being idiots and shag now?" anniversary.

I really, REALLY have to write that one of these days :)

10th of May is the anniversary of our Engagement. Would have been sooner but we had to order the ring in my size *g*
