Rash 
An eruption of spots on the skin, usually temporary. (An eruption of hurtful or annoying posts on bulletin boards)
There are all kinds of rashes, but typically, they share similar symptoms.
Itchy, scaly, dry, annoying, horrible, disturbing, disgusting, depressing, nerve wracking, upsetting, hurtful, etc.
Some leave scars that last a lifetime. Some are just a nuisance.
Simple advice, although not so easy for many to do: Do not scratch, make every attempt to ignore it. Most rashes will subside quickly.
Rash (adj) Speaking out (or typing) or acting too hasty, or reckless.
You cannot cure a rash by being rash.
