Another Twin?

She was in her own little world, but then she was ripped from it as she watched Dante. It looked like he was looking at her sword, she looked down for a moment and smiled some. Looking up at him she thought for a moment, and decided to tell him something. Something she never told anyone else. "My father made this sword for me, he told me it had the soul of a demon in it. Not that I ever believed him, he always liked to tell me stories. He was a demon hunter, one of the best. He went all over the world, my mother wasn't into killing. Neither was I, until the day my parents were slain" She said simply.

Then it just hit her that why did she even bother? He was more interested in fighting. Which she didn't blame him really, because that's what she liked to do. Removing her sword, she ran her fingers down the blade thinking of her father. Alex sighed some missing her parents, but there was nothing she could do about it. So she tucked it back in it's resting place, and was ready to go find the people responsible for there deaths. She didn't know how long it would take, but it didn't matter to her, anyone that screws with them will die. Alex wasn't going to loose anyone else, and that was a problem. Sometimes she went looking for people, which wasn't the best thing to do. They needed to come to her, but she was the kind of person who didn't sit on her ass and wait.

The rain continued to pour down this time a little heavier as he listened to her story. Though not greatly impressed by it he was slightly intrigued as to why a father would hand down a weapon to their child let alone their only daughter. Taking a quick look at the sword again he could definitely feel the presence of something demonic in it which made him question her father’s motives more, maybe it was a reminder of where she came from; a father who hunted demons.

Quickening his pace a little he walked up beside her and as they walked he glanced at her from the corner of his eye. Dante could feel the anger and hate in her eyes but at the same time she seemed troubled but it was well hidden. Dante never knew what it was like to lose family, his father a demon himself a mother mortal but died in the wake of sealing the demon realm from the human. The only family he knew of was his twin brother and they were always in constant battle and last he saw of him he fell into the depths of the underworld. His family by his standards was dysfunctional and never really cared for it much; always having been a loner.

As she talked she looked at Dante, she knew he wasn't impressed and most likely bored. She laughed thinking that and looked at him "Your nice, to listen when I know you could care less. I can read a persons body language, and Ive yet to be wrong. Your probably wondering why my father gave me a weapon like this, but I'm the last in my family. I promised them to kill who killed my parents, even if that meant my own death. I have no boyfriend, husband or lover or friend. So if I die no one will miss me" She said bitterly.

Walking a few feet away from him, ahead of him she sighed some looking at the sky. She could feel a storm coming, and already she got a chill down her spine. Looking back she looked at him. "We should get inside soon, a bad storm is coming. A little rain can't hurt you I know, but still I have to look up something any way" She said simply. She had to look at her map to see where to go next, and she didn't want to get it wet. So she walked over to a buildings porch, and took out her map. The wind howling rather angerly, and she sighed a little bit thinking of where to go next.

Dante felt no sympathy for her, yet again he had a feeling that wasn’t what she was looking for, maybe she just wanted to get the facts straight. He kept his pace following suit as the rain was starting to come down a little harder Alexia suggested they find somewhere to take cover from the rain. Normally it wouldn’t bother the young bounty hunter but he was getting tired, no more like bored from the walking and chit chat but he had a feeling it would get interesting soon as he felt a presence around them and at the same time he felt the same presence fluctuating from the woman.

Leading him to a run down house Dante looked about him taking in his surroundings as Alexia stopped to look at her map. Finding an old chair that looked stable surprisingly, Dante sat in it and leaned back propping his boot clad feet against the railing in front of him as he closed his eyes seeking that presence again, readying himself.

Dante had a feeling that Alexia wasn’t in tune with her seeking powers as a demon hunter but he didn’t want to forewarn her for he wanted to quench his thirst to kill. With the sound of thunder breaking in the sky a force came crashing up underneath Dante sending debree of the porch flying in every direction. With Dante’s quick reflexes he jumped off his chair and shot once at the demonic creature as he twisted and landed on the other end of the porch facing toward Alexia who he could now see was surprised by the new guest.

Looking to the creature Dante took its form in and saw that it was of canine stature and it was facing Alexia. Dante then looked to Alexia with a grin on his face.

Alex didn't know what made her speak open with him, he didn't care that much was very clear to her. She just rolled her eyes at him and shrugged off the feeling, but after a few moments of silence she heard something. Placing her hand on the hilt of her sword, her eyes slowly scanning every inch of the area. But she saw nothing, looking at Dante she wondered if he felt it to. Or perhaps it was all in her head? with all the traveling and stress anything was damn possible. Closing her eyes she felt the wind hit her hair, causing it to blow. But it was then she heard it, and opened up her eyes.

Before her stood a creature she had never seen before, she drew her sword and didn't move toward it. She looked it up and down, ready to fight if need be. Course it was evil so there was a need to get rid of it. Taking a deep breath she sighed some, and was ready for anything. Then a blast of thunder came behind her, it was like the roar of a mighty lion. But it didn't startle her. She was scared of things yes, but she knew where bad weather was. Lighting and thunder would soon come, so she was ready for any kind of weather that seemed to blow at them.

But then the monster growled and went right for her, at the right moment she twirled out of the way. The creature missing her, and turning it's head howling. Facing the creature again she was ready to make a move, taking a deep breath she went charging at it. Jumping into the air she thrusted her sword up, when she landed behind it. She turned and noticed that she only got it's hair, it was a fast son of a bitch that was for sure, looking at Dante she saw that look and she smiled some, nodding to him that she was ready for anything.

Dante watched as the womanly warrior started her battle with the creature and watched her carefully. He wanted to see if she had the skills to go up against a low level demon such as this. Sure she may have had her bout with him but she hardly held her own against him. She was graceful he'd give her that but the demonic being showed to be quicker. Watching the fight move onward off the porch Dante jumped up through the hole in the ceiling of the porch and ran to the edge and continued his watch from there as the rain started to pour down harder.

As he watched on he could feel the adrenaline rushing through him slowly, watching the two agile creatures weeving and dodging left and right trying to one up the other but it wasn't just the rush of battle that was getting him going it was Alexia and her form. He wasn't sure if it was just her or what but her moves looked slightly provocative and sensual. Maybe she's trying to lure the demon in with her risque moves he thought to himself as he watched more closely, looking for a sign to intervene.

Alex noticed that Dante wasn't helping, she figured this was a test on her part. To see if she could hold her own, everything seemed to be going good. But this was getting silly, all this back and forth. So it was time to end this fight, closing her eyes she put the sword out with both hands. Listing to everything around her, she was always taught when fighting something or someone to use all your senses not just your sight. So that was what she was doing, listing to everything around her. You could almost hear a pin drop, and she heard the beast coming for her, twirling around she thrusted her sword right into the creatures heart and opened up her eyes.

Pulling her sword out she watched it fall to the ground, brushing off some blood that was on her hand she sighed a bit. Looking up at Dante, she saw him on the roof. Or at least she thought it was him, then with a final blow she cut off it's head just in case. Taking a deep breath she was set, cleaning off her sword she put it back in it's resting place. Walking back over to her stuff she continued to look at the map, memorizing where they needed go to. Rolling up the map she looked around for Dante, wondering what he was up to.

The platinum haired hunter watched as Alexia finished her fight and was mildly impressed but not entirely. Before she could collect herself Dante vanished into the abandoned house. Silently walking into what looked like the dining hall Dante checked the area, showing nothing but worn down furniture and a few knocked over stools and chairs. Walking out the room and looking to his right he sees a set of stairs covered in a nice red velvety rug that went up each step.

Looking up the staircase he sees that the staircase had a better look to it with an untouched chandelier hanging right above it. Wanting to get more of a look on the place Dante walked up the stairs and once reaching the top he looked around and saw a door down the hall slightly ajar. Walking to it he opens it a little more and is welcomed to a nice big sized room with a big sized bed. As he scanned the room checking for any other worldly presence but sensed none. Turning back out in the hall Dante takes one look at the room before walking to the staircase stopping as he sees Alexia walk along the hallway below him.Stepping to the rail on the upstairs Dante leans over it and looks down at Alexia.

She panted as she watched what Dante was doing, he was going to get himself killed Alexia thought. I mean yes sure he was macho and wasn't completely human, but so what he had a weakness everyone did. Placing her hands on her hips, her heart beating and she was frustrated. She put her dark brown hair up in a bun to get it off her neck and out of her face, her green cat like eyes were scanning the area to make sure that no one or nothing was coming. She didn't know how long this would last so she followed Dante into the house.

She thought this was a tad crazy, but Crazy was her middle name sometimes. But before she went in, she looked up and noticed Dante looking at her. From that high he looked damn handsome, she had a thing for him. But would never admit it to anyone, right now she wanted to jump his bones but she would not. She has self control, just the thought made her laugh in her head. But she nodded to him. "What are you doing up there Dante? There anyone in the house?" Sure it was a dumb question but hey.

Dante looked down at Alex from the balcony above, hunched over the railing slightly. He admired her physique and the way she showed her lean but erotic neck as she put her red hair up in a bun. He could see that she was slightly exhausted from the fight taking notice of her cleavage rising and falling as she panted a little he chuckled slightly to himself as the thought of him tiring her out in and out of bed amused him. He looked at her once more admiring her a little longer but didn’t let it show before standing upright and started walking to the stairs.

Walking down the stairs lifting both his arms up briefly “Nope no one around here, just us two lovely demon hunters….alone.” he says with a smirk as he reaches the bottom of the stairs and in front of Alexia. “There’s a room up the stairs that’s still in tact and seems more your style” he says as he walks away into the other room which happens to be the living room and leaps onto the couch landing on his back kicking up all the dust from it. “I’ll be here if you need me.” He calls out to her as he positions his hands behind his head and closes his eyes, not falling asleep just yet but just to get comfortable.

Alex looked up again at him and thought perhaps he was after something, so not really thinking she smiled a bit and walked on in. No one was here so perhaps she could get some rest, though what was the likely hood that the person or people that owned this place comes back. But she decided to go talk to him, so she went downstairs and looking over at Dante, she was taken back by the way he acted around her. Smiling a bit she didn't know what was to happen. She laid down on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. Her green eyes scanned the window and did some thinking.

Sitting down she looked over at Dante "What you thinking about Dante?" She asked, figuring he would pretty much just tell her to mind her own business? She didn't care what he would do since since we have been working together, you are one hell of a fighter. And in the back of my head I envy you, perhaps it is a stupid human thing. But I would like to ask, what is it like to be you? I mean being half demon would worry me I think, wondering if I would turn out horrible. Course you are stronger then I am"

Laying there minding his own business he feels a slight presence enter the room but not feeling threatened by it he keeps his eyes closed resting alertly. “What you thinking about Dante?” he hears Alexia ask him softly as if to not disturb his sleep but knew well aware he wasn’t really sleeping or else she wouldn’t be bothering him with such questions.

Opening his eyes he looks up to the ceiling and thinks about her questions. “What’s it like to be me?” he never thought of it before and the fact the he could turn out bad? Granted the demon side of him could get carried away like his twin brother did but he always felt just fine with the powers he had and never abused them or wanted more.

All his life after he found out he was half demon he never really questioned it but more so excepted it and went on with his life like any normal person. It was only when he had a run in with his twin brother Vergil that unleashed his demonic powers from within. It was during a brief moment of death that unleashed his true powers and brought him back.

He wasn’t sure how she could feel envious towards him, sure he was more skilled with killing demons then she was but like she stated earlier, being half demon could bring so many people to fear him and demons attracted to him. Why would anyone want a life like that? “Look lady, if you’re trying to be like me, don’t” he said to her harshly at first but ended it with a sense of care. Taking a deep sigh he added” Being me attracts too much attention and it’s hardly ever the good kind.” He normally never opened up like that but it was more of a warning to her then it was for him to be “emotional”.

Alex listened to him and she respected him, perhaps he had a very good point. She didn't know where life would be if she was exactly like him, it kind of worried her in a way. Thinking about all the times that she would have to worry about the demon half, perhaps it was for the best that she was only human. But his skills were the best, and that she wanted to be like. But perhaps he was right about trouble following, a soft smile could be seen on her face. Crossing her arms as she silently sighed a little.

"You have a point Dante, because with the adventure you have in your life. You still have things to worry about, though I would love to know why your brother isn't like you. I take it he embraces his powers, wants even more?" She didn't know his brother, never seen his brother. But if he was against Dante she had a feeling that he was a rather nasty guy. And she wondered if they would cross paths any time soon. She had a bad feeling that perhaps Dante's brother was a lot stronger.

But she would help no matter what, and nothing would cause her to run away in fear. Something about Dante made her smile, he may never like her. But he was nice to her, well as nice as Dante could possibly be. It was funny to think he would ever be her friend, since she didn't think anyone would ever want to hang around with someone like her. But right now it didn't matter, everything around them seemed to grow quite. "Well I may not be very much Dante, but if you ever need my help, I am here"

Dante could tell that Alexia wanted to be like him at least as far as it came to being a skilled demon hunter, maybe her being human made her so fascinated in him as most were along with a few fearing him but he never let either fascination or fear from others get to him. Though skilled he never flaunted his abilities for fame going above the bar just to be noticed it was just how he is and the attention was just given to him that way. He wasn’t sure if that’s why Alexia wanted to be like him to get more noticed in the demon killing business if that was something she would go for after this revengeful mission of hers.

Thinking about Alexia made Dante see a lot of Lady in her when they first met and she was on a similar mission to kill every demon she came across and even her own father for what he did. He’ll never forget the bout they had inside the Temen-ni-gru, she was indeed a skilled fighter but was limited to her human abilities, but unlike Lady Alexia had something deeper in her that she didn’t know of and Dante could sense it just being near her and it clearly showed during their own bout earlier.

Hearing her mention Vergil didn’t really give Dante that subject much thought except remembering one of the demons from earlier saying his name as Dante struck it with a final blow. He was slightly curious as if the demon confused the two or if he was sent by Vergil and if that was the case was he sent for Dante or Alexia. Dante was never one to ask for help in fact she was the one asking for his help, maybe her act of helpfulness was just her trying to be friendly? He shrugged it off in his head and turned his body inward toward the couch. “Get some sleep you may need the rest.”

She listened to him Dante was rather interesting, perhaps the power he had in him made it where he didn't need much sleep. But she knew that she was acting like such a girl, when he suggested sleep. She was far from tired, but she figured that if she didn't sleep she would be a waste of time to be around. Taking a deep breath she wasn't to sure how he saw her, perhaps she was just a silly human for him. She didn't want to sleep, she wanted to get to know him but figured maybe she was annoying him.

"Sorry if I ever annoy you Dante, but I really would like to get to know you better. I respect the reputation that you hold, god night' She did something she didn't realize she was doing till she did it. She kissed his forehead bidding him goodnight again and she walked upstairs to the bed, she was kicking her ass so to speak at least mentally for what she was doing. Sighing softly she didn't know how this was going to turn out, but when it came down to it she just hoped he would forget it ever happened.

"Nice going Alex"

She said to herself rather upset with what she had done, she felt sick that now he would think she was crazy. She really liked Dante, out of respect and everything else. Closing her eyes she laid down and kept thinking about him, but she finally forced herself to sleep and right now she was really happy that everything was okay for now.

He had heard what Alexia had said and he didn’t find her that annoying and he wasn’t really surprised by her respecting his reputation more so for the fact that she wanted to get to know him. He’s never had anyone interested in him in the sense that she’s giving off. And again he was shocked that she had given him a good night kiss before leaving the room.

Feeling her presence has exited the room entirely Dante turned his body toward the outer part of the couch and sighed a little. He wasn’t sure want to do with this bit of information. He figured he’ll just go on his marry way with this adventure and see where things go. Closing his eyes he slowly drifts to sleep.
