In a vote in the House of Representatives the vote to honor and express condolences for the assassination of Melissa Hortman, a nationally obscure Dem politician in the Minnesota legislature, was passed unanimously i.e. every Republican Congressman voted in favor of the resolution. In a similar vote to honor Charlie Kirk, more than half of the Dem Representatives either voted against the resolution or voted present or did not register a vote. In the recent elections in Virginia the man elected to be the AG for the state has expressed the view that he would wish the death of a certain Republican colleague and would want his infant children to die in their mother's arms. In addition, he declared he would attend the funeral of certain other Republican members so he could piss on their graves. Virtually no Democratic lawgiver disavowed his candidacy. You may not personally want to kill or destroy property, but you have no aversion to others from doing so.
There is no evidence that Ms Sweeney actually supports the group which you alluded to just as the fact that she has not confirmed that she is actually a registered Republican or that she voted for Trump. If Sydney Sweeney were truly homophobic, logic would dictate she wouldn't have accepted the role in the first place, nor would she have publicly appeared enthusiastically alongside Christy Martin to promote the movie.

There is a difference - a very large one - between being unwilling to honor a right-wing demagogue who spread divisiveness and cynicism for a living, and being glad he was murdered.
Plenty of Democrats I knew did not like those comments one bit. It was a matter of holding your nose to vote for him because the alternative was even worse. Again, there's a difference between being pragmatic with one's vote when there's no acceptable alternative and actually supporting what the guy said. In fact, I don't know anyone who approved of what he said.
