I think the dynamic of the mother setting up the kid for failure is quite common for insecure mothers. But I am not sure the enjoyment of the mother is of a sexual nature. You haven't been reading much on lit, I presume - there are many women here who find being humiliated a turn-on. And for the woman I was originally referring to, her humiliation through her son's humiliation was, most assuredly, a turn-on. Big time.

Then the alleged "humiliation" is, at best, very indirect.

It is the son, according to the OP, who is being humiliated/dominated - and in a context (sport) which has little if any connection with the mother and certainly not a sexual one.

To extrapolate from this some "deferred" or second-hand humiliation - and on a sexual level - is straining credulity beyond breaking point, I would contend. I do wonder whether the person you "roleplayed" with was actually a female. There are many men on here whose whole life is dedicated to a pretence of being women and hoodwinking other men to that effect.

I think involving a loving, good husband for her to cheat on does three main things:

1. It ups the ante on the level of betrayal that the formerly good wife commits on her family.

2. It involves another layer of intrigue as the son knows, but is too scared to tell his father (at least initially).

3. It helps steer the story away from incest to a degree, which in my own personal opinion is a genre that just plain sucks (just my opinion there, do your think with your fantasies if that’s what you like)

Perhaps Dad is a wimp, and while Mom might not necessarily be cuckolding him, she has fantasized about stronger males she knows.

I've had many chats with just such a mom and would to hear from more of you.

I was recently in an email/Hangouts exchange with someone on the chat boards who was interested in very much the same thing. I tried to flesh out a storyboard with her (if she was/is indeed a female) going even so far as to set up a google doc share to build snippets of scenes. Two major obstacles arose; I lacked the time commitment to go at the pace she seemed to want to go at and probably more importantly, her interests were really outside of my element and certainly not publishable on Lit. On top of that, her storylines were all over the place making it impossible to attack a singular story plot.
