I am not sure that I am a true nudist, but I think there might be shades of nudism and if there is, I think I qualify.

My wife likes to be nude within our house, and has admitted she has had an aversion to wearing clothes since she was a kid. All kids do that when they are in their toddler years, but for her it was much longer after that period, and extends to today.

For me. I have some nudist tendencies. With my wife’s encouragement I have been going nude a lot more around the house, and enjoy it. She seems to enjoy that I am as well.

Mostly for me, it is being nude out in nature. I am an avid hiker, hiking 7-9 miles per day, everyday, in any season, amd have done several hikes completely nude, and enjoyed it. Other times, I cannot explain it. I know this will sound weird perhaps, but like last spring I was hiking along the coast. The sun is beating down. There is just enough off-shore breeze to blow the bugs away. And its super warm just bathing in the sun on this rock having lunch. I cannot really explain it, its was just this feeling of suddenly wanting out of my clothes. It was just this gorgeous setting and my sneakers… they are made from foam, my backpack is made from nylon, my pants… nylon too. It is not a huge thing, those materials work well when hiking, but at the same time… what are my clothes protecting me from? Bathed by sunshine on that rock, I did NOT need clothing. I just wanted to sit there and soak up the sun naked. As I said, I cannot really explain it. I did not have a need for exhibitionism as I was on an isolated part of the coast where no one would ever see me, so it was not that. I just didn’t see a need for my clothing being out in nature like I was. I kept my clothing on that day, but hated that I didn't take them off.

Since then, if the mood strikes me, my clothes come off.
