Anyone for random non-sex (but occasionally sex) chat on the thread here?

Just popping in to tell our beloved Queen @MiaBabe23 that if you're going through what I think you're going through (or anything close to it), I've been there before. And it sucks. But it does get better. There's no going back in time, there's no stopping our own dumbness sometimes, and we can't tell our hearts what they should want. But we do heal and learn and eventually do better. I know you'll eventually be okay (which, I know, doesn't help when you want to be okay immediately). Remember you've got folks around you who care about you and are rooting for you.
Thank you for being so kind and well-meaning, Jack
I don’t know what you assume I’m going through; so it might be kinder not to assume how much better off I am because of how much better off you imagine I will be? I suspect your shoes probably fit very differently than mine do
But I’m very happy that it turned out well for you, and grateful for your kindness, thank you

Good evening court,
In the spirit of the momentous week ahead, I propose lots of citizen-conscious activity
So to start with, what’s the best way to celebrate after voting?
Going for an early drink
Going to work/ breakfast because you vote that early because you’re that good
Creating art
Trying to find a local news report that you can photobomb
Write in candidate - ?

I used to go to a church that did an election night roast beef dinner, so that was kind of our tradition (it also made things easier that our polling place was in the church basement). So we'd go as a family, my parents would vote, and then we'd stick around for dinner. But that was a long time and many churches ago. These days I'm more likely to take a selfie with my "I Voted" sticker, then spend the rest of the day sweating bullets and drinking heavily until results came in. I wouldn't know until after the fact if I was drinking in celebration or to drown my sorrows.

Also - where I lived it wasn't odd that the polling place was in a church. It was a very small, rural town and the church was the only building with a room big enough.

I like both of those variations

Send us/ me a pic of your ‘I voted’ sticker tomorrow, and I’ll write you a sexy scene
If you’re in a swing state/ didn’t vote last time/ vote to secure our rights, it’ll probably be that bit sexier 😉😈
Which is perfectly ethical. I’m not buying votes lol, just rewarding them

So what about those who live in a state where they dont have polls anymore. It is all mail in and no sticker granted. I sent my ballot in this morning

Oh. I’ve just remembered you saying…!
To uphold integrity, I shouldn’t renege, but my lingerie would be rather blue
Red white and blue! As a veteran i have served for you. Everyone entitled to their opinion, i still stand to fight next to you. The beauty of this nation, is we get a say. So what if we dont agree, swayed by personal perspectives of varying degree. In the end I still stand to say. God bless this land of the free!

Virtually any other election, I would agree with your sentiments, we all have far more in common than the media would have us believe. And I applaud your service and thank you for it

But this isn’t any other election. I figure we don’t want the thread to get overtaken by my views on why. But suffice to say, with the utmost respect, because you’re a good guy - no fucking way
