It's not been the same at Cadbury since the American squirt cheese company bought them out.

The moral compass of management in American public companies has been lost. They were never perfect and there were always some bad eggs, but these days the good eggs are the rare. I say this as an American. Sigh.

There is an important point here, I visit the US often for work, much of their “chocolate’ (I’m looking at you Hershey), has a background aroma of vomit. It’s very peculiar and somewhat off-putting.

I agree... Hershey has that reputation. I used to travel there a lot too and there are some good independent, artisan chocalatiers around
