full goose report when you return, Ms Sticks, the migration season is upon us and the Brents, etc will be heading this way. Have fun on the water.

Dunno what sort of geese but they shit everywhere. Cormorants act like they're permanently disappointed by their wings, holding them out like 'Who gave us soggy feathers ffs?'

The big fella brought the salty boat ashore this week, so we're relieved. One or two boats have broken their moorings on the Dart and in Poole that I know of

Its dark so early. Very depressing. I spent a few hours in the garden today before cooking a nice bit of salmon for dinner and worked on a presentation I have make before a panel for a potential promotion early next year.

I don't bother pushing for promotion, which always comes with the unpaid burden of responsibility. I do my job effectively: if they want me to nanny other people they can ask. I am a useful drone.
