Anyone from the UK?

I have indeed been busy.

Walked 8000 steps, whatever the heck distance that is.

Black coffee with breakfast for me (just for future reference, lol).

That's very good of you to help MN. I'd have kept the helicopter; that's a rant for another day.

The great unwashed are the indigenous local people. Today they were congregated at the garden centre. Bought soil to plant dwarf cherry, plum and pear trees. I bought dwarf varieties not for any horticultural reasons just so they'd make me feel tall in two years time.

I’m excited about your fruit tree purchases. Dwarf varieties are great as you won’t need to get them trimmed back.

Sour or sweet cherries? I love both.

Sweet cherry. I just need to create a fruit cage for them to stop the birds from eating them. I'll sacrifice a few (cherries), calm down everyone but I'd like a few myself.

Ooooh nice! It might be a few years until you can harvest more than a handful or two.

Of course! The Sapmi people live in Lapland. I had to google sapmi too - at first I wondered if OC had done a typo ( silly me! )

Sapmi is the name of the land the Sami live in - there are 2 main "tribes", Northern and Southern - I only know Northern Sami people. lapland is the old name (still used, sadly) and the people were often called Lapps. Sapmi should be used

Then there are the Kven, but they are not as nomadic as the Sami, but travelled in the same area as the Northern Sami.

6 February was Sami day.
