Where is that dish originally from? Sounds yummy… and what’s to drink with that hmm

This is the national dish of the Palatinate region. Traditionally, it is accompanied by Riesling spritzer. Served in a half-litre glass. Anything smaller is considered a sip.

Asda - a bit poor, mince/pastry ratio too low.
Waitrose - good, ratio much higher but a bit sweet

Round my neck of the woods, Birds bakery are the best by far

My usual. Ham and cheese. But had brown bread as no sourdough left. It’s not as good but supermarket delivery with essential supplies is due tomorrow

Oh yes! When i was a kid, years ago, at school we had a bakery down the road that used to deliver them to our tuck shop.
