Luckily, I have about four different ways of making coffee. Just take longer then the machine .

No, though I have tried that coffee. Not worth the cost in my opinion. I prefer a Jamaican Blue Mountain

I have given up on coffee machines and use a French press/ Cafetière or just put the ground coffee into a cup and fill with boiling water, Turkish style.

Water wasn't going through the portafilter so pressure backed up and went everywhere when I took the portafilter off

Sounds like you might need to de-scale the machine.
