Yeah, the Valleys are a law unto themselves. They're not Cardiff or Swansea, and each valley is slightly different in attitude and accent inflection. I'm sure it's been studied at PhD level, but my anecdotal witnessing is:

I have had both shoulders done. Even after physio I won't do star jumps again

I had an op on my spine, recovery is a bitch and a life changer. Can't even stand on one leg without holding on to something

They didn't operate when I did it 10 years ago, literally physio and painkillers was all I got. Its taken me 2 hours to get pain relief
