Anyone here use freenet?

I started using it a few days ago just to kind of experiement with it. It is kind of neat to have an entirely different internet to access and there are actually some good discussion forums around on it too.

However, randomly a couple of days ago I could no longer connect to it. I just constantly get the freenet is starting up message but it never connects. Pretty much all of the trouble shooting boards and forums are on Freenet and since I can't connect to freenet I can't ask questions there. Anyone else have experience with this program. I realize it is a very small community so I might be out of luck as well.

I hadn't, but did follow the link you posted, read a lot (very interesting!), and I think my hubby downloaded it.

Maybe you'd have better luck posting on the General Board because it gets more traffic, or a tech forum? I also got what appear to be some good results by googling 'freenet problems connecting'?

Thanks it is a really neat program when it was working.

Just such a small community can't get any help on it.
